Winter 2024 Anime Preview:

I've remarked before that there's very little anime to look forward to scheduled for 2024, but let us survey the nuts and bolts to be sure:

So one great continuous anime -- Sousou no Frieren, 1 great sporadically released anime, One Pace, 4 series that barely make the cut of watchable, one promising new series that nevertheless will never reach the level of greatness, and 26 unknowns, most of which look like boring rehashed concepts we've seen a million times by now.  Surely something of worth will emerge from those 26 unknowns, but I expect a winter season consisting of fewer than ten weekly releases.  It's exactly as bad as I said it would be.

The Fall 2023 season will probably never happen again.  Enjoy its last effervescence while it lasts.
