Frederica > Paine:

The only reason Paine was ever featured in '100 Waifus' as Yuna's daughter is because she was Yuna's friend in the game.  Looking at her independently, she doesn't belong in a fictional character hall of fame.  This is because she's some sort of punk motorcyclist who wears black leather with spikes and sports a short haircut like a man's.  She's about as manly as a girl can get without going full trans.

As an encourager of femininity, I shouldn't feature monstrosities like Paine when perfectly good feminine women are available to replace them.  Enter Frederica, the doting wife of Serenoa with long, pink hair, who wears dresses and is looking forward to wearing her wedding dress all game long in Triangle Strategy.  She has a high, whimpering voice that stresses her femininity in all places and occasions.  This doesn't make her weak in the least.  She's a powerful fire mage who can devastate large portions of the battlefield or assassinate bosses that need taking down.  She is constantly advocating for her oppressed Rosalyn kin to her lord and husband, asking again and again for military intervention.  She leads a slave revolt against the powerful nation of Hyzant, fights against her own husband down one timeline when he sides with Hyzant, and founds a new nation during another timeline when her husband sadly dies in battle.  She's as fierce and independent as any feminist could wish her to be, but she doesn't randomly stab her husband in the back or selfishly demand things her way like American harpies do.  She's not Giselle Bundchen (though she is prettier than Giselle.)

Her feminine traits, caring about the downtrodden and wanting to help them, doing her duty and marrying where she is told in an arranged marriage and immediately trying to make the relationship work instead of spitefully fail, caring about her appearance and being flattered when complimented, and emphasizing her femininity with long hair and dresses, are what a hall of fame woman should be.  An aspirational model for all young girls.

In contrast, the best thing I can say about Paine is she has a sense of humor, is strong, and cares about her friends -- strangely enough all male virtues.  She's such a freaking transgender.
