3404/5500 songs have received a preliminary rating. The mission marches on. However for a moment I want to digress and explain why I can't stand Platinum End anymore.
The right to self-defense is so well known and well accepted that it's literally the law of every land on Earth and across all human history. The idea that a protagonist would be 'struggling' with the decision to defend himself and his loved ones (including the girl he loves!) from a ruthless mass murderer is absurd. Full stop, if there is any such person on Earth that twisted in his pacifism, he shouldn't be the protagonist of a story. He's worse than everyone else on Earth, why on Earth would you choose him to write about?
On top of that, we have people yet again submitting to a hostage-taker's demands, which is never acceptable. If you submit to his first hostage demand, he'll just take another person hostage, and another, indefinitely. You will end up giving away everything for nothing. He could in fact take the very hostage he let go as part of a deal earlier hostage again. There's no deterrent so of course that's what would happen. There are rare exceptions like you know for a fact you'll be able to kill him later, or you know the guy is honorable and you can strike an honest deal with him. But this is rarely the case and, as it turns out, everything the ruthless mass murderer said was in fact a lie, proving the stupidity of every action they took this episode.
There's also no reason to believe someone's lies who's already been established as a liar in earlier events in the story and who has every incentive to lie in this specific instance. The fact that they believed the guy's lies about the bomb is inexcusable stupidity. It's not just that the hero is a pacifist, he's also an easily blackmailed, easily duped pacifist. Oh, did I mention he's also a sniveling cowardly crybaby? Whenever he's not ruining things on the battlefield he's crying and whining about how his life sucks. There's no helping losers who create their own problems, why should I have to put up with this?
Just like I stopped reading the manga I've now given up on watching the anime. No matter how pretty the moving pictures the core story is the same and it still sucks just like before.
