This is the final ranked anime available for rewatch in blu-ray I hadn't already rewatched. It's also the only anime I hadn't rewatched that isn't either currently airing or stopped airing in December. That's a pretty comprehensive achievement. My promise was to watch everything I list as great twice, and I've fulfilled that promise to a T yet again.
It would be nice if no good anime came out for a year, which would let all great anime come out in blu-ray, and then I could rewatch it all and finally totally complete my promise. But in this fallen world this is probably about as close to fulfilling my pledge as I can get. Short of watching every show twice as it comes out, which sounds a little silly.
Railgun T was very good, it introduced some excellent new characters like Misaki and Guunta, it developed Frenda more, it had a giant mecha battle, and there was lots of semi-nudity. It was a boy's paradise. My only complaint with the season is it seemed too scattered and fractured. One episode was about one thing, and the next episode was about something completely different, or someone completely else. The two episode segment where Kuroko went around stopping loose alligators felt totally out of place with the rest of the series. It's like, 'huh, why are we focusing on this?' None of the episodes were bad per se, but taken together they never really fit into a larger whole.
This is nitpicking for a series that was the best thing to happen last year (then again last year was affected by covid-19 so it was a terrible year for anime overall.) Maybe I should just settle with 'it's a boy's paradise' and leave it at that.
Now if only I could get the great anime rankings above 9,000 I could say my work is finished here. . .
