Gekidol Dropped:

Perhaps I should have seen this coming considering it's a story about a drama company, but there's way too much melodrama in this series.  Even the camera angles are weird and overly zoomed in just to create more dramatic effects.

There's a bunch of crazy people, crazily emotional people, and now crazy robots are joining in.  The only thing that's consistent is that everyone is crazy.  I can't keep up with this show anymore.  I don't even care what new crazy plot twist will happen next.  Everything's so swingy that it's become mush anyway.

That brings the winter anime count down to 18, which is still crazy high.

Meanwhile, I watched Rambo: Last Blood.  It was okay, but I think the chain of events is highly unrealistic.  Historically, I've never heard of a single person taking out 100 enemies in the age of guns.  Guns are the great equalizer so it's hard to get a good ratio.  Oh well, it was fun seeing those bad guys get their comeuppance.  The last truly good movie was Midway, it's been years now since anything decent came out.  Such a shame, America used to pride itself on its movies.

Is there anything we do well anymore?  All I can think of is SpaceX.  But until we get back to the moon even that has to be given an asterisk.  You're not impressive if you can't replicate 1960's technology.

Our military is supposed to have some high achieving weapons, but let's look at the concrete results -- we've lost every war since World War II.  After all the spending we do on those weapons, they sure don't amount to much.

Intel used to make good chips, but they haven't released a new chip in a decade.  It's been stuck at 14 nanometers all this time.  Now they're saying they'll let Taiwan manufacture chips from here on.  It's pathetic.
