SEC Dominates:

Alabama is nigh certain to win the National Championship, capping off another SEC bowl sweep.  An eventual 7-2 record in the bowls is already impressive, but when you take into account all the SEC teams with losing records going out and winning against high-ranked opponents it's a real eye-opener.  #11 Indiana was crushed by a 4-win Ole Miss.  #24 Tulsa was humiliated by 3-win Mississippi State.  #23 North Carolina State lost to a 4-win Kentucky.

If you can get 3 or 4 wins in the SEC, you're better than practically anyone else in the country.  Wow.  That's pretty humiliating for every other conference.  To be fair, the Big 12 went 5-0 in the bowl season, but only one of those wins was against an SEC team, and half the Gator team was sitting the game out because their tickets to the NFL had already been punched.

All three undefeated teams not in the playoffs lost their bowl games.  So much for that controversy.  The remaining two undefeated teams are meeting in the national championship game in a week which is how it should be.  I wish it were always this simple.
