I'm about 1/3 of the way through and have already had to fix three things. One was a simple spelling error, the second was missing that Kurou and Kuro were essentially the same name and thus needed to be counted as overlapping just like Shirou and Shiro are, and the third was forgetting that Mitsuki worked at the Research Institute not the Transportation Hub. Hopefully those were the only errors still remaining for my 25th read-through, but the very fact that they were still there means this 25th proofreading and editing session was necessary and important.
Until I can read through the entire book without having to fix anything, I swore I'd continue to re-read and re-edit this book as many times as it took. Well, I found problems, so not only must I read the rest of this 25th time, but inevitably a 26th time as well. The best book ever written deserves to not have any stupid errors dragging it down. If there is going to be any weakness to this book, I want it to be in high conceptual space and not stupid easily corrected details.
Mistakes aside, the book still reads beautifully. It's much more fun than 'Sufficiently Advanced Magic' which I quit out of boredom in favor of this re-read. And it's the 25th time! The 25th time is more fun than the first time of these other options. Plus the sex scenes are still as enticing as ever. On the 25th time! If I hadn't written this book myself I would assume only God could create something this alluring and would immediately use it as proof of Her existence.
The new Elf scene which wasn't around the first 24 times fit in fine for this 25th read-through. It was one of the reasons, alongside the new name changes that had happened, that propelled me to start reading it again. This may be the 25th time, but it was the first time the new and improved version of the book was being given its chance.
This book is so good that re-reading it for the 25th time is even more fun than rewatching Railgun T for the first time. I am making Railgun progress, but nothing compared to how I'm tearing through this book. So the 25th time of a book is more entertaining than the 2nd time of an anime. What on Earth is going on here? And this is the best series that aired last year! Out for the first time in blu-ray! It still can't keep up! With a book I'm reading for the 25th time!
Well, I should save my praises for the novel after I actually finish re-reading it. In World of Warcraft I'm basically just waiting for the Darkmoon Faire to top off all my professions on all my characters. There will still be some laggards who aren't done even after the Darkmoon Faire, but most everybody will have maxed out skill points in everything but Shadowlands professions once this is done. I'll have finally 'caught up' with the last ten years of expansions.
Once that's achieved I'll probably let my account lapse until they allow flying in Shadowlands, because I don't see any point leveling my characters under worse conditions than necessary. 23 characters is difficult enough, why make the grind even harder by keeping them stuck on the ground?
