Yet another series I didn't have the patience to wait for a blu-ray release has a blu-ray release. Thanks to [koitern] over at nyaa.si.
I guess this means I'll have to rewatch the series again, now entirely in blu-ray, but surely not any time soon. This series had great animation and special effects so the blu-ray should be a marked visual improvement. Some series don't really need a blu-ray to get their message across, the simple lines of Major or MIX are conveyed even in dvd resolution. But pulse pounding action anime like Grand Order are where blu-ray shines.
I recently upgraded to permapost status my 'Contra Free Speech' reply to one of Andrew Anglin's posts in favor of free speech. It's a good take down of the Enlightenment and all of its bad ideas in general and Anglin in particular. This may end up being the only permapost addition of 2020. Obviously as the years go by most topics have already been covered by earlier posts, so the need for new posts continuously decreases, but in this case I was able to add something useful to the conversation that hadn't been mentioned before.
Andrew Anglin is currently complaining that his website isn't making any money and he's had to get a day job. Boohoo. Anglin has led millions of white nationalists down a dead end where he simultaneously attempts to be as rude and offensive as possible while still maintaining all the worthless conservative beliefs that lost to liberalism in the first place -- freedom, democracy, Christianity, hard work, etc. He sounds like some annoying grandpa lecturing everyone to avoid 'demon porn' and rum. Ignore his tone and phrases, drill down a bit, and you realize he's indistinguishable from Ronald Reagan.
If Anglin hadn't planned and encouraged the Unite the Right rally, throwing his followers to the wolves of law enforcement, not only would he not have had his own website banned, a lot of other good people's websites would still be up and receiving funding. Every time he complains about not getting any money, remember he's responsible for that, as well as many innocent people rotting away in jail right now. He encourages all these racial slurs, all these violent protests, all these conspiracy theories, and all for what? To preach self-responsibility and the dignity of hard work like he's warped out of the 1980's or something.
We are in a systemic crisis, not a personal crisis. The majority of millennial men can't marry or have children, not one or two 'bad actors.' We aren't responsible for this. The jobs on offer aren't good enough to support a family. Women no longer honor their vows no matter how well they're treated. No amount of education is enough -- we're the most educated generation in American history and all it got us was a pile of debt. This isn't our fault! It just isn't. The last thing we need is more lectures telling us how we're running our lives wrong. We haven't done a single damned thing wrong in our lives -- we've been too powerless to make any choices at all.
One choice Millennials have been able to make is to escape from the absolute inane nonsense of Christianity. We are in an age of scientific progress. Why on Earth should we worship a dead Jew from 2000 years ago who said laughable scientifically disproven things about the world? Why should we follow an ethical system that demands ridiculous behavior like giving all your money away to the poor, or letting people assault you without reprisal? It doesn't make any sense! Who could stomach this vomit inducing creed any longer? Why is Anglin continuing to push this on an audience that has already long since moved on from this dead religion?
Christianity spawns liberalism, they share the same egalitarian basis of everyone being equal, you cannot believe one without believing the other. Anglin is a hypocrite, which I point out in the 'Contra Free Speech' article as well, but it's just so aggravating! If he's a Christian he cannot be a nationalist, a racist, a sexist, or anything else. He has to universally love all human beings like Jesus did! That's his only choice as a worshipper of Jesus! He has to sacrifice the wellbeing of whites to those who are less fortunate like blacks and Muslims because that is what Jesus told us to do! Explicitly! Over and over!
All of Anglin's advice is bad and all of his leadership is counterproductive. Reasonable voices on the right could have used Anglin's readership, but they were drowned out by his hyperactive, loudmouthed nonsense. So for years now we've only lost ground. Mild mannered Steve Sailer pounding on the fact that blacks are 8 times as murderous as non-blacks in America according to our own FBI and Justice department makes actual progress while Anglin rants and raves about non-existent things like an upcoming war with China or total economic collapse. He sucks the oxygen out of the room. Steve Sailer doesn't have any problem getting funding but Anglin can't get enough donations. He thinks this is due to ungrateful readers. Isn't it because his product is poison? Why should readers donate to someone who has only gotten them in jail so far?
If Anglin's millions of readers were instead reading me, we could've assembled at a physical location, gained independence, and instituted a new utopian law code that would have solved everyone's current problems and given everyone involved a bright and happy future. He wasted that opportunity to instead lecture them on plastic, the Holocaust, and masturbation. The sooner his website goes under the better.
