I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Earlier today a joke torrent with each file at 7 gigabyte size was released in blu-ray, but that hardly counts. Now a reasonable torrent albeit in 720p comes in at 5 gigabytes total for the whole series. Now that's worth downloading. [It's now out in 1080p at a still reasonable 14 gigs]
The best series deserve the best quality picture and the least censorship which means blu-ray. Except apparently in Inuyasha's case due to weird licensing rules the blu-ray is more censored than the original dvd's, so there's really no point to them. Sad. [Though I'll probably download the blu-ray batch anyway due to the serious glitches in the dvd version]
