I took a break from WoW to finish reading the newest Grimgar novel. It got better once Yume was featured (and Ranta appeared), but most of the book was a long boring slog repeating stuff we already knew.
There's big problems with the Grimgar narrative, in that so many improbable and weird things keep happening to the main cast, disrupting any sort of character progression. Yume getting stranded on a deserted island is just the sort of bizarre twist this author seems to delight in. But it does look like in volume 15 the cast will finally re-unite in the correct world of Grimgar for the first time in forever. I hope. Maybe then the story will get good again. We won't have to wait long -- volume 15 is slated to be translated early August.
Outbreak Company volume 14 is supposed to come out on June 8th, which isn't too long from now.
