Rin Tohsaka Hole Filled:

Rin Tohsaka is one of my many underutilized waifus in '100 Waifus.'  I found a great opportunity to include her in the action of the legendary Chapter 31 to make up for that gap:

        "I dressed up as Ishtar.  Are you happy now?!"  Rin Tohsaka queried demandingly through tears of humiliation.  Though an outfit like this hardly qualified as being 'dressed'. . .

There's a lot going on in this short sentence, and it's really great stuff.  Why is Rin Tohsaka humiliated?  For two reasons simultaneously.  One, that Ishtar's outfit is ridiculously skimpy and scandalous.  But there's another reason as well -- that she would have to dress up as an impostor copycat who's probably even more popular than she is these days just to be admired again.  That's the real burning shame she can't live down.  Even though she's the real Rin!  Even though Ishtar's from a lousy spinoff!  But she would go even that far for Christopher's sake and swallow all her complaints as her gift to him -- now that's love.

So this two sentence addition introduces the delicious mental image of Rin Tohsaka cos-playing as Ishtar from Fate/Grand Order, makes a double-entendre as to why she's embarrassed in the first place, and provides living proof of the depth of her feelings for her beloved.  Like I said, a lot is going on here.  It's a magnificent addition to the novel at basically zero calories.

Like this I'll keep on improving '100 Waifus' bit by bit to infinity.  20th re-read and re-edit, here I come.  So long as I'm making progress why ever stop?
