Mao in, Non Non Biyori Out:

My good manga rankings are based on value added, not absolute terms, which means if there's an anime adaption of the manga it has no value at all.  Non non Biyori getting a third season renders the manga moot.  It needed a replacement, and Rumiko Takahashi's newest manga serves nicely.  It's very akin to Inuyasha and as a result very similar in quality to Inuyasha.  Mao will work hard as #75.

This does mean that there's going to be trouble in 2020 when the Shingeki no Kyojin anime fully adapts its manga, but hopefully by then a new great manga will appear that can take Shingeki's place.  If Kimetsu no Yaiba doesn't get an anime sequel announcement, it could serve this role nicely.

With FF8 Remastered beaten and Youjo Senki's novels underwhelming, another lull has set in.  All we can do is wait for the fall anime season to begin and SAO's return.

Amagi Brilliant Park's newest volume is set for release on the 17th, which I guess counts for something.

I wish it were March 20, 2020, so that I could play FF 7 Remake already.  The trailer looks incredible.  This may end up being the best game ever.  (once all the parts are released for PS5).
