Dragon Quest 11 Beat:

It took 130 or so hours of game time, but I finally beat the last boss in Dragon Quest 11.  What a perfect game.  To engage me for that long with pure plot, with a story that convoluted and characters that manifold, is a tremendous achievement.  The graphics were amazing from start to finish, and even the art style and music grow on you with time.

The minigames were great too.  Fun time with the forge isn't kidding.  I spent half the game slaving over that forge and loving every minute of it.

Finally I got to play a super nintendo type rpg, with turn based, menu driven combat, alongside ps4 graphics.  All I ever asked for.  And finally, finally, Dragon Quest 11 delivered.  Why is this so rare and so hard for developers to do?

I completed every last nook and cranny of this game save for one grayed out quest I don't know how to begin.  I guess I'll look into that next.  But I didn't just beat the game, I beat it into the ground.  I previously had Dragon Quest in my video game hall of fame, then took it out due to stronger competition, only now to put it back in due to the magnificence of DQ 11.  It's not only in, it's all the way up to my 22nd favorite franchise.  Bushido Blade was kicked out to make room.

Meanwhile, Nanoha Detonation came out subtitled in blu-ray.  The file is enormous, 16 gigabytes, but it's a small price to pay for more Nanoha.

Manga scanlations have also covered the rest of volume 38 of Kyoukai no Rinne and moved on to volume 39.  Only two volumes left to go.
