We're Still Dying:

For the first time since World War I, life expectancy in America has dropped for three years in a row.  We won't know what happened in 2018 until next year, but the data is now in for 2017, and it was yet another terrible year for America, just like 2015 and 2016 were.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2018/11/29/us-life-expectancy-suicide-50-year-peak-and-drugs-cause-death/2146829002/

Suicide and drug overdose rates continued to rise in 2017, helping drive the number of U.S. deaths to the highest total in more than 100 years, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a series of reports on mortality released Thursday.
One result: Life expectancy in 2017 fell to an average of 78.6 years for the total U.S. population, down from 78.7 years in 2016
Last year, 47,000 people committed suicide, for a rate of 14.0 per 100,000 people. That is up from 10.5 in 1999 and from 13.5 last year.

Drug overdose deaths among U.S. residents exceeded 70,000 in 2017, nearly 6,600 more than in 2016, the CDC said. The rate has increased on average by 16% per year since 2014 and more than tripled since 1999.
So due to suicide and drug overdoses we're losing more people than modern medicine can save.  There's no real point in public health care if everyone is just offing themselves regardless of their physical health.  The only health care that can help America now is a panacea for the soul.

Riddle me this:  What are people supposed to be living for in the modern era?  Their jobs are meaningless makework that can easily be automated.  They have no families and often no friends.  About 1/4 of them have already been diagnosed with some sort of mental illness.  Many of them are obese and physically repulsive to the opposite sex.  Nobody really believes in God anymore, and there is no hope for a political solution to anything -- whether you're a Democrat or a Republican.  It's gridlock for the foreseeable forever.  The filibuster rule in the Senate alone guarantees nothing will ever change in our entire lifetime.

We had a Republican House, Republican Senate, Republican Presidency and Republican Supreme Court and we couldn't get a single meaningful bill passed.  This proves definitively that it's impossible for electoral politics to ever change anything for the better.

These statistics prove there's a real problem out there.  It isn't the failings of the individual, it's a systemic failure destroying the lives of all Americans together.  Only by tearing down the system and restarting on a wholly different moral basis can anything change.

Over 50% of people are single, they generally report having only one confidante in their life.  To them, family is just a dream within a dream.  They will go their whole lives barren and unloved.

They will never win an election, because it's impossible to win an election in the American electoral system.  The judges or the Senate filibuster prevent any change from ever occurring.  It isn't just Trump, Obama was incapable of passing anything either, and the next president won't do any better.

Most people by now realize God is just like Santa Claus, a pleasant myth told to kids.  For those who do believe in Him still, their relationship with Him is inconsequential -- it isn't enough to get them to actually read their own holy books, abide by any of their Prophet's teachings, expect actual divine intervention to occur at any point in their lives, have any impact on their immortal souls in the afterlife, etc, etc.  It's a completely phony belief that's only worn on the surface and never actually means anything.  It's doubtful they even go to church, but if they do it's for the social functions, not the actual religion.

Their jobs will never have a serious impact on the outside world.  They haven't even had a pay raise since 1970.

But whatever pitiful job you can get in the world today, you know that it won't actually improve anyone else's lives.  There's always someone (or something) else that could have done the same work as you, probably for cheaper.  Or people could have just foregone your service entirely, since it isn't an actual necessity.  Most of the time people would have been better off without your efforts -- that's why the government has to intervene so forcefully to *make* people consume your services and *make* employers hire more employees through all sorts of subsidies, mandates, taxes, government jobs, regulations, tax credits, etc, etc.

Even if somehow you're one of the chosen few people whose job actually benefits others, since these 'others' are all aliens who hate you and want to replace you with more scum of the Earth, since the whole country is going down the toilet and you're only empowering evil just like in Atlas Shrugged, no satisfaction can be gained even from a job well done.

It's like Sonderkommandos taking pride in their work at efficiently gassing their own Jewish brethren.  Who would do that?  How is that going to contribute to life satisfaction?  In a country where every drop of your effort is either taxed from you and lavished on benefits to undeserving foreigners or directly serving said undeserving foreigners, what pride can possibly be taken in doing your job well?

Only in a country where people were like you could you be happy to be of use to them.  If you're surrounded by parasites, invaders and degenerates, making them happy is the last thing you should want to do.

Bowling Alone actually quantifies this issue -- as a country becomes more diverse, people spend less time outside, join fewer social organizations and volunteer less.  They even become more averse to taxes and spending redistribution schemes.  Why should people want to help complete strangers?  Love and charity is meant for reciprocal kith and kin circles, not marauding barbarians here just to rape and plunder.

The same should be true of work as volunteer work.  If you don't see any reason to volunteer for your community, why should you want to work for them?  Yes, because you need the money -- but how much money do people really need?  They don't have any families to support, and they don't want to give it away in taxes, they don't pay tithes to any churches, they don't really have any expenses.  If you make even $6,000 a year you can get by with access to all modern necessities.

The main reason people work isn't for the money, it's because they seek self-fulfillment by being of use to others and receiving their commendation.  Also because they're just plain bored and want to have something to do with their free time.  If it were just about money, people would only work 2 hours a day.

However, it isn't fulfilling to receive praise or thanks from people you hate and despise -- nor is the praise or thanks of people who hate and despise you worth anything.  Nor does it make people feel good to see the people they hate and despise doing well due to their own efforts.

50% of Republicans report in polls that they believe Democrats are evil.  60% of Democrats report in polls they believe Republicans are bigots.  (which makes you evil according to a Democrat).  In a country like this, where your work is more likely to aid an evildoer or bigot than a good person and an ally, why work?

Who exactly are you empowering?  And why would you want to?

Work in America is treason -- whether you're a Republican or a Democrat.  No one in good conscience could contribute to the well-being of the other half of America, believing what they believe about them.

No faith, no family, no community, no friends, no activity worth doing, no future -- and you wonder why people are dropping like flies out there?

These unnecessary 117,000 deaths from suicide and overdosing are just the tip of the iceberg.  The vast majority of Americans are likewise suffering from the same ailments but just haven't gotten up the courage to kill themselves over it yet.  If we keep heading down this same course, the death totals will only keep accelerating.

Now maybe this is fine.  If you believe most Americans should die off because they all suck anyway, if you believe that the beautiful people have strong intact families, close-knit communities, a loving God providing them with a purpose-driven life, lots of well earned money, not just a job but a 'calling' that allows them to do good in the world every day, lots of people to chat with about their daily vicissitudes, etc, etc, then maybe the system is working as intended.

If good people can rise above the failings of the weak and carve out all the happiness they need in life, then the devil take the hindmost, right?

I just don't see that happening though.  To me, it's the best and brightest who are tempest-tossed in this world, and the worst and dumbest that thrive.  It isn't the college degree holders with big loving families, it's the girls without college degrees.  It isn't the truth tellers who get ahead, but the liars and backstabbers.  It isn't the hard working providers who get the girl, but the bad boy criminals.  The people who end up taking drugs and committing suicide are the sensitive souls, who can see deeply into the nature of the world and find it so revolting that they make the ultimate rejection of it.

As evidence for this, it's white males who are dying the most from both these curses -- not black and Hispanic gangbangers, not the women who file for divorce 75% of the time, not the tax eaters, not Democrats.  It's our best and brightest, the engine of this country, who provide everything good for everyone else to leech off of:

"Also, his reanalysis of the famous Terman Genetic Study of Genius found a lifetime suicide mortality four times that of the general population among a participant pool with an average IQ of 151."

I just don't see how primarily white males, the only group with a net positive tax contribution, the only group who votes Republican, the only group who wants to marry and settle down and have normal healthy children, dying in droves, how this can be a good thing.

I'm all for evolution in action and culling the weak, but -- is that really what we're doing?

What if instead we're killing the goose that lays the golden eggs?  Would it then be wise to flippantly smirk about these numbers?

What if these people are suffering the worst from modernity's metaphysical contradictions precisely because they understand life best?  What if they're the canaries in the coal mine?  What if we're torturing to death the very best of us, who take spiritual matters more seriously, and are thus closer to divinity than the rabble content to keep eating their industrially manufactured slop?

I am anti-drug and anti-suicide.  I want people to flourish in the way God intended for them, by following a normal, happy, healthy life course like all our ancestors did in the past.  I have zero respect for anyone who chooses, for whatever reason, to abandon God's plan and self destruct instead.  But at the same time, I can't help but think that these people could have led very different lives, if the environment were just a little bit more amenable to them.  If we weren't just so incredibly out to get white males, if every single law in the country weren't out to get them -- what would have happened then?

How many wonderful people were there among these 117,000?  What about next year's crop?  The year after's?

We're losing an entire World War's worth of people every year and nobody cares.  I get it, there's 330,000,000 of us and rising, so who cares, right?  But. . .

I can't help but think Vinland could do better.  We should at least give it a try.  Why should we just have to sit back and be content with numbers like these?  Anything at this point is likely to be an improvement, just by blind chance.

Even without a wife and children, I'm probably among the top 1% happiest people on Earth.  I have 200 favorite anime, 75 favorite manga, 200 favorite seiyuu, 101 favorite waifus, 5500 favorite songs, 200 favorite movies, 10 favorite TV shows, 50 favorite video game franchises, 20 favorite visual novel franchises, 57 Magic: The Gathering decks, 100 favorite authors, 12 personally authored fictional novels, and the chance to express myself through this blog.

I feel like the world has been good to me and I'm very blessed.  But without these things I'd be wallowing in the mud right now alongside 2017's casualty figures.  I'd be right there with them, suffering with every breath, wanting it all to end.  Because there is nothing natural about my happiness.  If I hadn't found the things I loved and had the intellect and personality to love them, I would have nothing right now.  Nothing came naturally.  Nothing about society or my environment led me to these things.  It was just blind luck.  I am fearful for the children being born into this world, born with nothing, who won't be led to embrace any of the things I have.  What chance do they have?

In Vinland they would have everything I have and more.  In America, odds are, they'll have the brief passing euphoria of fentanyl until they die.  That's the only thing they can possibly look forward to, because everything else has been taken away from them.  Any chance at a normal job, wife, children, community or calling has all been taken away by the powers that be.  The elites have deemed them all 'problematic.'  They prefer us chopping off our dicks and donning wigs.

It twists my stomach to think what a white male born into America today has to look forward to if they were to live out their full natural lifespan.  But I guess that's not a real risk, is it, because all white males will have killed themselves long before then, at the rate we're going. . .

Even the people who haven't overdosed or committed suicide are still experiencing pseudo-death in this society.  Their culture, language, religion, history, monuments and ancestors are all being driven from the public square and extinguished by judgmental interlopers.  Meanwhile, they aren't having any children, so they will inevitably all die the final death -- having passed down nothing either biologically or culturally through time.  Even if you have one or two kids, odds are they themselves won't reproduce enough so the inevitable downward trend continues.

A society surging with vitality should be having ten kids each and sicking them on the rest of the world to get all the resources they would ever need, like our pioneering and colonial world conquering ancestors were.  With the infinite frontier of space just before us, a fearless country would be having enough children to fill the stars.  Only a dying culture thinks two kids is a success.

Now grandparents are happy if their children manage to have even one kid, who inevitably turns out gay or transsexual and thus ends the ancestral line once and for all.  Miscegenation destroys another chunk of genetic and cultural heritage, as suddenly your own child aligns with a separate camp from you and insists you conform to their foreign group-identity demands.

There's a lot of ways to die.  Overdosing is just the beginning.  Miscegenation, homosexuality, transsexualism, staying unmarried, or just putting in a desultory effort of one or two kids late in your 30's after having secured a good career are all alternate forms of suicide.

Allowing your country to be overrun and conquered and your descendants to live as powerless slaves is no better than overdosing from the start.  It's just as cowardly and self-destructive.  In South Africa, right now, blacks have made it 'legal' to seize white's property without compensation and give it to their random crony black friends instead.  This is the fate of every country which doesn't fight for its right to exist.

We have a right to be us.  Only we can be us.  Anyone who doesn't agree with this statement has essentially committed suicide already.

Or here's another one.  "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."  Any white person who doesn't abide by this command is already essentially dead.  What's the point in singling out overdosers when the problem runs so much deeper?

Lawrence Auster once described England as the 'dead isle,' because no one there ever stood up for themselves anymore.  He completely despaired of a country so willing to abnegate itself before the wishes of pushy foreigners and cultural marxist termites.  He was right.  England is already dead -- the men watch on with glazed and apathetic eyes as millions of their own wives, sisters and daughters are raped right in front of them.  The mayor of London is a Muslim who says terrorism is just 'part and parcel of living in a big city' and that crime waves aren't his responsibility to do anything about.  Theresa May, their completely ineffectual Prime Minister, has reinterpreted Brexit to mean Britain losing all EU voting rights but keeping all the same responsibilities, including massive transfer payments to random poor people abroad.  They don't even keep suzerainty over their own fish.

Everyone in the United Kingdom may as well be dead already.  The most spineless people on Earth, who have bent over backwards and served themselves up to everyone else on Earth, do not deserve the title of 'living.'

“He who would live must fight. He who doesn't wish to fight in this world, where permanent struggle is the law of life, has not the right to exist.” -- That's right, Adolf Fucking Hitler.

Anyone who does not subscribe to this viewpoint may as well have committed suicide already too.  This world is not so pleasant and forgiving that people with no life force, no willingness to stand up and preserve anything, can just go on whistling in the wind forever.

From a cosmic viewpoint, if someone ends their life at age 20, 30, 40, 50, or 70, does it really matter?  The only people who didn't self-destruct were the people who passed down their legacy unharmed, both biologically, genetically, and culturally.  Ideally, the people who come after you should have just as much property as you had, the same beliefs and values, the same genes, and the ability to sustain all these things into future generations.  Only then can you say you're any different from the fentanyl crowd.

Given that the baby boomers left the next generation with less income than they had and an enormous unpayable debt, they didn't fulfill the property condition.  In addition, we've given most of our land away to foreigners who now have equal citizenship to us and can vote to redistribute all the nation's wealth into their own hands.  Not a very good stewardship of the land.

They didn't have enough kids to meet replacement, a basic biological failure.  They didn't pass a single aspect of American culture down to their kids -- people now despise our history, freedoms, and ancestors.  Christianity didn't survive.  Really, I can't think of anything baby boomers conserved at all.

What they inherited from the Greatest Generation is now universally annihilated.  A won game, a perfect hand, and they somehow managed to squander it all.  It's almost ludicrous what has happened.

So yes, it's sad that 117,000 people died at age 20, 30, 40, 50 or whatever.  But compared to the decision of hundreds of millions of people to die at age 70, leaving nothing behind, just self-annihilating, the true tragedy hasn't even begun.

New Record! 93,331 Overdose Fatalities in 2020!:

This is a 30% increase from 2019 and a 450% increase from 1999.  If you want any further proof that America is a nightmare hellscape, here it is on a platter.  It's so bad that a record number of people across all age groups are checking out ahead of time, preferring a drug overdose to another second of life.

Each individual who dies of a drug overdose has their own circumstances that led them to that decision, but only systemic forces can explain away a 450% trend.  We've ratcheted up and ratcheted up the pain of life, while stealing away and stealing away the joy, to the point that a large number of people have thrown in the towel and do not think life is worth living anymore.

Overdosing is of course only one option among many to self-destruct.  The far more common option is to not reproduce, which is painless and doesn't trigger any instinctual fearful self-preservation defenses.  Then there's the truly bold who straight out commit suicide.  And a giant sea of people who eat and drink and smoke and screw in an unhealthy manner which terminates their life if not immediately, at least quicker than the alternative.  Even people who get involved in gang wars and end up dying by homicide, you have to wonder how much of that was really a desire to sell drugs or settle vendettas and how much of it was simply hoping to be finished off as soon as possible?  Blacks must know their line of work isn't very safe and doesn't have any good endings, but they do it anyway.  Why?  If you stay out of that kind of stuff and away from those sorts of people, the murder rate in America zooms from 'highest in the world' all the way down to 'as low as Japan.'  People could live if they chose to live, but they choose to die instead.

I do not particularly care about random Americans being crushed by despair and offing themselves in a variety of creative manners.  But what I do care about is the statistical chance that my own children or grandchildren or whoevers could suffer the same fate.  I want a country where, if you bring a child into the world, they don't have to immediately run a dozen gauntlets -- from the likelihood of being sexually abused which is above 20%, to the likelihood of overdosing on drugs, to the likelihood of catching herpes, or whatever.  I just want them to be safe.  I want them to run through wheat fields playing tag, not away from gay choir singers.

I think it is a basic human right for parents to be able to have children and not worry about them.  I think it is a basic human right for a parent to die before their child.  I think it is a basic human right for a child to have a better life than their parents.  In any sane world, where a parent can accumulate capital for their entire lifetime to be passed down, and technological advances can be moving on for another century, no child should ever inherit a worse future than their parents' past.

To secure these rights, nations are instituted amongst men.  When a nation fails to secure these rights, it is the right of the parents, it is their duty, to abolish such governments and institute new ones which they deem serviceable towards those ends.

The overdose rate is a metric, it tells us there is something wrong with the system that isn't delivering the promise life offers and has given to so many generations before us.  Why is it that only now do so many people wish to die?  Why is life five times as bad now as in 1999?  Or 100 times as bad as 1920 or whatever?  What is this overdose rate trying to tell us?

A policy bent on stopping the importation of fentanyl doesn't help any.  Now the people who prefer death are stuck living.  This doesn't help anyone.  We need to address the root causes of drug abuse, and that's people's despair.  That's life not giving them anything to live for.  We can surmise what people lack now which they had before by comparing how people lived in the past versus now.

People in the past were paired up -- one man one woman -- almost immediately after leaving high school.  They would be married, have jobs, and have kids, by the age of 25.  This was clearly a meaningful and rewarding existence because no one was overdosing, overeating, or blasting each other back then.  Safety was taken as a given and kids could roam all over town without oversight.  Everyone had lots of friends but very few lovers, divorce and affairs were scandals and extremely rare and extremely frowned upon.  Labor force participation among men was near 100%.  And your job wasn't pushing papers around, it always had some real material outcome by the end of the workday.  You could trace and see what exact good you were doing in the world, whether it was building a car or picking up the trash.  The minimum wage and median yearly income was higher than it is now.  A man could earn enough for a house, a car, and a large family all on his own without a college degree.  And if you did go to college it was cheap enough to afford with a part time job at McDonalds.

We were still on the gold standard so inflation was extremely low.  It was easy to find a high real return on your savings so the elderly had nothing to fear.  People could work at the same job for decades without fear of being laid off.

Are you starting to get a feel for why no one was electing to overdose back then?  You can stress one issue or another being more pertinent, but the point is there was an entire way of life, a system of living, a culture, that for one reason or another worked.  It worked for almost everybody.  It clearly worked for everybody because no one was opting to die instead.

In America today, a record number of people are choosing to die via overdose.  And a record number of people are choosing to die by other means, too.  It all amounts to the same thing in the end.  This means all the 'progress' we've made in the last century has actually been 'regress.'  Every change, all the changes together, have done nothing but kill half the country and make the other half miserable but not quite dead.

People can say no-fault divorce is progress.  They can say gay marriage is progress.  They can say gender-affirming surgery for kids is progress.  They can say women in the workforce is progress.  They can say affirmative action is progress.  They can say dropping the gold standard is progress.  They can say drug legalization is progress.  They can say teaching critical race theory in school is progress.  They can say open borders is progress.  But they cannot change the visceral reaction people actually have to these changes.  They cannot change the fact that due to all their wonderful progress, we've somehow still ended up with worse numbers on every single metric of human health.

The only real progress in the world, where things are demonstrably better than they were before, is in East Asia, where most of our 'progress' never occurred.  Over there, stuff like gays and transgenders are rare and rarely celebrated.  Divorce is still rare.  Drug use and crime are practically unheard of.  People get jobs based on merit, not racial or sexual quotas.  No one is educated to hate themselves.  Their pay is way higher than it used to be 20 or 50 years ago.  Borders are still tightly closed and populations homogeneous.  All the progress we've heralded has passed them by.  And yet the progress of their world is clearly visible every day.  New, incredible architectural and engineering works.  Whole new cities sprouting out of the ground like mushrooms.  Computer chip making technology that now surpasses our own.  All the best works of art in every imaginable field -- television, movies, video games, books, comics, whatever.  Even in America the typically highest selling book is Kimetsu no Yaiba, Boku no Hero Academia, Shingeki no Kyojin or whatever.  There's nary a western title to be heard.  Only 6% of generation Z doesn't know what anime is.

So what are we to believe?  Objectively speaking?  Supposedly America has experienced tremendous progress, far more than any other nation on Earth, we are the most enlightened, free, and non-bigoted country on Earth.  We have the openest borders.  We accept the most refugees.  We have the most cutting edge (literally!) transgender rights.  Blah blah blah.  We even emptied our prisons and abolished the police, letting people mourn George Floyd however they found appropriate for a year.

But by any metric of quality of life, length of life, or just existence of life (i.e., birth rates and the declining number of white Americans in America), we aren't progressing at all.  We're regressing.  Into a nightmare hellscape.  Don't take the adjectives from me.  No one overdoses willingly.  No one goes and kills themselves until life is a nightmare hellscape first.  Happy people don't act like Americans do.  It's just like how runaways don't joyously run away from home and become street prostitutes because they think it would be so much fun.  They do it because the alternative is even worse.  They overdose because the alternative is living in America.  Overdosers are runaways too.  They're fleeing this world you made them live in, that your policies have designed.

I am not whining subjectively about my own life.  As I've said before, I have a top 1% way of life compared to the rest of Americans.  I am objectively noting that Americans, if they were happy, would not produce press releases like, 'new record, 2020 saw a 30% increase in overdoses to 93,331!'  I am casually noting that all this progress isn't amounting to what it hyped itself up to be.  That liberals have not delivered on their promises.  Every time they said they were helping us, they've instead driven more and more people to death and despair.  Liberals have been in charge for the past century, every single cultural and legal change has been according to their design.  The proof is in the pudding.  Everything they believe is not only false, but perniciously fatal.  They are killing us in a massacre that neither the black death nor the Mongols could match.

When an innovation fails, instead of doubling down on the mistake, we should backtrack and go back to what was already working before.  This is normal in every other walk of life.  Why can't we do this in politics?  Why can't we take back every liberal reform since 1900?  Why must we persist in the most damaging mistakes of all while we're free to change up our sports strategies or video game strategies or any other strategies in anything else?  When New Coke didn't sell like Old Coke did, do you know what Coca-Cola did?  They stopped selling New Coke and went back to selling Old Coke.  It worked like a charm.  They did not lecture Americans on being backwards authoritarian Nazi science deniers.  They didn't shame us, censor us, browbeat us or coerce us into getting the damn New Coke.  They just went back to the old Coke recipe!
