[DmonHiro] has done it again, upgrading another season of Pretty Cure from standard resolution dvd to 1080p bluray. This time for the supremely excellent season of Splash Star featuring my waifu Mai. It's like Christmas came early.
The news gets even better -- within the bluray release post he also states that he's working on a Max Heart bluray release. When that happens the entire series will finally be available in HD. The #2 series of all time looking as good as it should is huge. The more new seasons of Precure fall flat, the more we need to rely on these old seasons, and the more important these old series are available in a watchable form. Once Max Heart comes out it looks like a great time to rewatch the whole franchise from the beginning.
Meanwhile my edits roll onwards in '100 Waifus.' I corrected the spelling of Shouichi's nickname from 'Cap' to 'Captain.' Cap is meant to be an abbreviated nickname of his nickname, which is meant as an endearment in the visual novel, but I find it's so abbreviated that readers might lose track of what the information is even trying to convey, so the full term is better. I also changed the spelling of 'Krillin' to 'Kuririn.' The way Japanese pronounce his name is distinctly 'Ku-ri-rin,' so this spelling is better. Besides 'Kuririn' is written directly on his hat so it's pretty clear how his name is meant to be spelled.
Washington beat Oregon in a thriller this week, but next week is just as good -- unbeaten Ohio State vs. unbeaten Penn State. There will also be a battle of the once-beatens, Alabama vs Tennessee and Utah vs. USC. Then there's an unbeaten vs. a once-beaten: Florida State vs. Duke.
