Kimi ni Todoke S3 available:

Netflix slapped down the whole new season all at once, which means I haven't actually watched it all.  But what I did watch was exactly as I remembered the anime and manga to be, in fine form.  This series is at the lower end of my top 200 anime, but it's an important insight into the world from a girl's point of view.  When a shoujo manga isn't about abusive vampires or whatever it's a good chance for men to sit down and listen.

Meanwhile, the dream scenario occurred in the women's gymnastics all-around.  USA won gold and bronze, with Suni Lee making an extremely rare comeback to medal in back-to-back Olympics.  I wish she had been scored higher, but these days they care about athletics more than artistry.  She had to complete a spectacular floor mat exercise just to get bronze.  But she's gold to me.  Her floor mat exercise had an epic theme and classy depiction (unlike the sassy or sexual stuff 1 and 2 did) which made you want to go throw a ring into Mount Doom.

Her uneven bars were the best in the competition, constantly flowing, releasing, catching, turning, changing, but they only gave her an average score for them.  It was so frustrating.  She never made a single serious mistake across all four apparatuses and gets bronze.  Sigh.  Anyway, it was the best she could have gotten scored considering the scoring system.  It was the dream ending to have her and Simone holding either side of a USA flag and run around the ring celebrating with the whole crowd together as equals.  Suni Lee got to bask in that moment as much as Simone and she certainly earned that moment.

I find your blog insightful and interesting. Care to do a write-up of Kamala running or the current situation in Britain?

Humorously nothing has really changed from 2020 so this post is all the analysis needed. As for Britain I predict nothing will come of the riots. France had those yellow vest protests for months and nothing changed. Labor won the latest election in a landslide. The U.K. voted for open borders and rioters aren't going to stop that.
