Bocchi, Fuufu dropped:

I gave these series the benefit of the doubt, but they only got worse from the first episode to the second.  In Bocchi's case, the girl has a ridiculous work-life balance where she supposedly attends school, is a guitar vtuber, does homework, works at a bar, practices with her band, and commutes 4 hours a day between school and home.  There isn't physically enough time in the day for this to actually occur.  Maybe she has a time turner like Hermione Granger?  But even if there were enough time she wouldn't have the mental or physical energy to sustain this sort of life.  On top of that she has some sort of people phobia neurosis which means everything she does is three times as hard as it should be, and yet still she's supposedly doing all these different things.  It's nonsensical.

Fuufu Ijou has the same problem.  This girl has spent years in love with a guy who loves her, but the entire time has been unable or unwilling to voice those feelings.  And now, when it's too late and the government has arranged for him to be with someone else, only now she starts to care about her feelings or the opportunity lost.  Meanwhile, another girl is so loose and slutty with a guy that the moment the government pairs her with him she starts cuddling with him, kissing him on the lips, undressing in front of him, etc., even though she doesn't like him.  If only girls were that easy!!  It would never happen.  What's funny is she's now starting to like him, which makes perfect sense once you've done all those sorts of things with a guy, so that part is believable.  But it's precisely because intimacy can so easily lead to love that girls strictly avoid the slightest contact with a boy until their heart is already prepared.  Girls know full well that contact accelerates the heart, so if they didn't want that to happen they would never do it.  It's like getting addicted to heroin, the trick is never to take the first injection!

Meanwhile, 4-nin Sorezore Uso also failed.  The art is terrible, the jokes ugly and vulgar, and the plot simple and repetitive.  You can tell that all future episodes will feature the exact same jokes as this episode, forever.  I actually laughed at some of this episode's jokes, but knowing that all future jokes will be the same, I feel like I've already gotten everything of worth from this series I'll ever get.

So, nothing but bad news on the anime front.  Arknights is airing soon and then we'll know the final situation for fall.  But again, none of these shows matter in a season with Bleach and Spy x Family airing simultaneously.  We've already won.
