Akira Senju:

Triangle Strategy's music is a lot like Bravely Default's -- good, but not great.  Six songs ended up entering my music hall of fame, 2 of them earned 2-stars, and the other 4 earned 3-stars, for a total of 20 points.

In contrast, yozuca*'s new Da Capo 5 opening theme on its own earned 16 points as a 5-star song.  So she nearly matched all of Triangle Strategy's oeuvre with one tune.  The five star song that had to make room for yozuca* was 'An Imminent Threat' from FF12.  Yet again an instrumental making way for a vocal, as it should be.

Like usual, to make room I had to kick a lot of other songs down or out of the picture, mostly girl rock music suffered as it just can't compete with the music coming out of Japan.  If you want to know all the details concerning the new songs and new ratings you can always check out my freshly updated Good Music permapost.

Meanwhile, the FBI released its murder statistics for 2021.  Blacks reached a new high of 60.4% of all known murderers, and since most unknown murders involve black on black shootings, it's actually 65% or more of murders done in America are by blacks, a mere 13% of the population.  Another fun statistic that can be computed with these numbers is that blacks are more likely to be murderers than whites at a higher ratio than men are more likely to be murderers than women.  So feeling unsafe because there are men around as opposed to women is less sensible than feeling unsafe because there are blacks around instead of whites.  These new levels of misbehavior were made possible by the Black Lives Matter movement and the insane response to the pandemic that released all the convicts from jail because they might get the sniffles if they stayed cooped together in prison like that.  If we had held firm and said George Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose and our cops did nothing wrong and we will continue to crack down on criminals wherever we find them, this hellscape never would have occurred.  Your opinion on things matters.  There are consequences to taking the 'fashionable' opinion instead of the racist one.  Very quick, very dramatic consequences.

Sort of like how fashionably siding with Ukraine can end up with New York City blowing up in a mushroom cloud.  If you had simply said 'predominantly Russian regions oppressed by Ukraine deserve to live in the country of their choosing' no one would have had to die, and the world would not currently be at risk of ending.  But you just had to choose the 'fashionable' opinion that you'd get the most praise for, damn the consequences.

Sort of like how excess mortality is 20% higher around the world now that everyone has been vaccinated, but barely changed at all while the virus was spreading unhindered and no one was vaccinated.  All those 20 and 30 year old's 'dying suddenly' and 'without explanation' chose to be 'fashionable' and get praised and now they're all dead.  Fit celebrities, athletes, it doesn't matter.  People who never would have been at risk from COVID are now all dying like flies.

The world has made a series of disastrous decisions in a row and it's unclear if we'll ever recover from them.  Especially since the meta-decision behind all the bad decisions remains the same, "I'll believe what's fashionable instead of what's true."  What happens when the next craze sweeps the land and everyone dives in without any critical thinking because they want to be praised?  What will it be next time?  There's no limit to human stupidity.  It could be something that leads to immediate death and they'd still dive in.  Nothing, no amount of careful statistics, will ever convince them not to do the fashionable thing.  I have no interest in saving these lemmings from themselves, they all deserve to die and in addition burn in hell after they die, for betraying their Creator who gave them the rationality they actively chose not to use.  I just wish they wouldn't drag the rest of us down with them.
