Tone of the Town and Following in One's Footsteps Replaced:

Two more intolerably bad songs were axed today, the first by Nobuo Uematsu and the second by Motoi Sakuraba.  Their inflated quantity counts in my hall of fame are due to being too lenient with them, and this is partially a redress of that.

I replaced them with two anime opening theme songs, Major's first opening, 'Kokoro E', and Kimetsu's first opening, 'Gurenge.'

I have a vast amount of respect for the Major anime so Kokoro E as its representative receives vast nostalgia points whether the song is particularly good or not.  (But I think the song is quite good.)

I already included Kimetsu no Yaiba's second opening, Akeboshi, so it's sort of silly to exclude its famous first opening, Gurenge, that even made it to the closing ceremony of the Olympics.  I'm not one of those contrarians who turns up his nose at any famous or popular song and purposefully excludes it to show how superior my taste is to the unwashed masses.  I admit Gurenge is a catchy tune by a good singer.  It belongs in my music hall of fame -- far more so than the awful song it replaced.

4853/5500 songs have been rated so far, and I've begun reading Galactic Patrol.
