I can't say what songs exactly are being remixed, only that all these melodies are quite familiar to me, and they're all mushed together alongside an annoying drumbeat. These Tales songs have no individual worth but are borrowing light from others:
Clenched fist and the sword dances, Feast with Those Who Transcend Dimensions, The end where the melody and the fist intersect.
I suspect these songs play during the bonus dungeon where you can go to grind and fight super bosses after the plot of the game is over. It would make sense to make a remix song for the dungeon because it's too unimportant to compose new music for -- most people don't even play it. It makes sense for Motoi to compose these songs, I'm not blaming him, it just doesn't make sense for me to collect and tout them as the bee's knees.
Replacing them are three catchy anime opening themes, the 2nd opening to Hikaru no Go, 'I'll be the one,' by HAL, the 2nd opening to Strike Witches, 'Egao no Mahou,' by Yoko Ishida, and the 1st opening to Hyouka, 'Yasashisa no Riyuu,' by ChouCho. All three singers are already known to my music hall of fame due to other anime hits.
I had to construct the Hikaru no Go song out of my anime opening collection, so it's only the tv size version of the song. It's still great like this, though, so no biggie.
I still have a reservoir of anime opening themes I could go to if I come across more bad songs, but these were the last high quality replacements I had on hand, so I hope the rest of the project can proceed peacefully without further interruption. I've rated 5265/5500 songs, so there can't be that many bad themes left, just mathematically.
