These two songs were intolerably bad so I replaced them with the new opening and ending themes of Kimetsu no Yaiba. The mugen train arc should never have been televised, it's a total waste of time, everyone has already watched the movie, but the opening and ending themes are new and they've done no wrong. They're actually quite good. The opening is Akeboshi and the ending is Shirogane.
One of the bad songs was from Motoi and the other from Nobuo so their relative standing towards each other remains unchanged.
I also replaced Wheel of Time in my tv rankings with The Legend of El Cid, for all the reasons listed previously.
I've rated 3930/5500 songs as the final exam plods on. The 1 and 2 star slots are nearly full while there's plenty of openings for 3, 4, and 5 stars. I sure hope the level of music starts to rise as the songs get longer. The final 1500 songs are all 4:00-8:00 minutes long, which should be the golden range for quality.
I'm 3/4 of the way through SAO volume 23. It's been pretty good, but rather shallow in its content. How many words can really be written about building walls or surviving hailstorms inside a game with your friends? I guess Reki Kawahara intends to find out. I would prefer, if I'm going to be reading something, that the emotions inside the book are at a higher level of intensity than people's day to day lives, or the book ends up being duller than real life.
Hawkeye starts airing tomorrow and is already receiving bad reviews. I haven't seen a good non-Spiderman Marvel product since Endgame so I'm not surprised that this would suck too.
