At last, the first good visual novel of the year has been released. A-4 can be found at nyaa.si, like all good things.
The latest episode of Shiroi Suna no Aquatope blew the latest Evangelion movie out of the water. There's a huge gulf between good and great and this contrast really made that clear. Shiroi Suna is anime's real potential, Evangelion is nothing but nonsense. Meaningless terms thrown around in a jumbled world of surreal imagery and a plot where no two parts connect in any way.
Apparently A-4 is quite short, which then begs the question why it's taken so long to get translated, but whatever. I'll take anything at this point. A-5 is already partially translated so hopefully the rest will be completed soon, and then the entirety of Majikoi A will be available.
I loved Majikoi and Majikoi S, but Majikoi A is actually the best of the trilogy. Sayaka Mayuzumi and Cookie 4IS are the best girls in the series and they were only introduced in A. I have high hopes for A-4 and A-5 as a result.
If a flood of visual novels are released at the end of the year 2021 can still be salvaged despite all the covid reverberations. Let this be the start of a trend.
