Majikoi A-4 Finished:

Aside from some meaningless 'bad end' choices I've completed Majikoi A-4.  This is a good visual novel.  In one arc you get to know all 5 of the girls from Ryouzanpaku better, who were only lightly touched upon in Majikoi S.  Likewise, you get to know the 10 Braves of the West better in the other arc, which were also touched upon in Majikoi S.  Basically it fleshes out a lot of potential which was introduced in S and now fulfilled in A.

The girls are certainly good looking in this entry, but they aren't as enticing personalities as the original crew, and the routes aren't emotionally moving like with Sayaka and Cookie 4 IS.  It's an unfair comparison, virtually no visual novel will be as good as those earlier routes, but when you title something Majikoi you're inevitably going to be compared to such titans.

Basically you get to have some lighthearted fun and sex with pretty girls and then the visual novel is over.  This is a very short segment of A.  For such a short story it sure took long enough to translate.  But A-5 is already partially translated so the last part should come sooner than this one took.  A-5 doesn't need to compete with Sayaka's route either, I'd be content with it being as good as A-4.  I just want to see the ending to this magnificent visual novel franchise written by none other than Takahiro, the genius behind Akame ga Kill! and Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha.  It turns out when you let a talent like that write a dating sim game it becomes an instant classic too.

I'd say the two best creators in the world right now are Takahiro and Hiro Mashima.  They consistently produce tons of material and all of it is great.  A new season of Yuuki Yuuna is coming out in a month and Hinowa ga Yuku! is going strong.  Meanwhile Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest and Edens Zero are being serialized simultaneously.  Maybe it's that shared 'hiro.'  Both of these hiros are my heroes.

Mitsuru Adachi and Rumiko Takahashi in their primes were something else, but now their output is slowing down.  The same with Jun Maeda, who sadly has been sidelined by his heart condition from creating something as masterful as Clannad or Little Busters!  Now all he can manage is the likes of Kamisama ni Natta hi.

A cryptic message was given over reddit that the reason it's taking so long to finish the translation of Aiyoku no Eustia isn't because of the difficulty of translating itself, but some other outside the ring issue.  That's certainly unfortunate, but the fan group apologized for the delay and said they definitely want to finish this thing however long it takes.  I guess it will be something to look forward to in 2022.  So long as it happens before I die I'll be equally happy overall.  It just means I need something else to entertain me until then.

The Kin-iro Mosaic graduation volume was beautiful, sweet and funny, exactly what you'd expect from this series.  I love how the story managed to never have any problems, any conflicts, from start to finish, but still be compelling.  It's almost a unique experience.  The only problem is this volume is covered by the new movie which we'll get to see likely in 2022, so it will only be worth reading until then, after which it will superannuated.  Oh well, it certainly made my day.
