I'm not sure how they're going to manage this season 2. The movie deviated into filler. It was a good movie so I don't mind too much, but now they have to tie the fake story back into the real continuity in order for anything to make sense. Unless they intend for the second season to be totally filler. Maybe they'll just ignore the movie and season 2 will be a direct sequel to season 1.
Well, whatever they do, it will likely happen in 2022, so no point fretting over it now. When a series in my top anime rankings receives a sequel it's always cause for rejoicing. With this, Kami-tachi and Hataraku Maou-sama it seems isekai series are finally being granted sequels. Let's hope this trend continues.
