Only two years after the anime aired, [Dmonhiro] has the blu-ray release. I guess that's better than the Galaxy Angel blu-ray release which was like two decades after the fact. But of course I already despaired of a bluray and rewatched this series years ago. But now that there's a bluray release I can't ignore it, and will have to eventually watch this version too, even though it's still only in 720p. It's almost a curse, getting a blu-ray release so late in. But for people who haven't watched this series yet it's a good opportunity.
Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train also came out in bluray, which I happily downloaded and rewatched. However, the file I chose had a stupid error where o's were randomly substituted with a's, so 'strong' would become 'strang' which my mind would read as 'strange,' and then I'd think, that's odd, the context implies strong would be said right there. . . It really disrupted the flow! No subsequent upload of the movie ever addressed this problem, it's like I was the only person experiencing it, so there was no point downloading any other version. I want a release with a fansubber's own fansub which presumably wouldn't have this built-in error, and I haven't seen that option yet. On the bright side the movie was still amazing, featuring moving segments with Tanjiro's large family and very little Zennosuke.
In a few days the new SAO and SAOAGGO books will come out. Thanks to light novels June was a splendid month. Sadly the Olympics will be airing at the end of July, so there's a long wait before the next fun event. But that's what Octopath Traveler is for.
