So long as we're on the kick of decade long missing blu-ray series why not release Da Capo while we're at it? That would be nice. . .
Some more good news for today, the 'Looking for Magical Doremi' movie has been subtitled by, appropriately, [Doremi] fansubs. All of this can be picked up over at nyaa.si.
Actually Fairy Tail Final has also been released in blu-ray but at 6 gigabytes a file it's not worth it. I have to wait for a reasonable release that cuts that filesize down to 1 gigabyte or so. I have neither the bandwidth nor the external hard drive space to spare 6 gigabytes per episode of an anime. I'm sort of curious who does have that kind of resources. Why even release such a bloated monstrosity? Hopefully someone takes the bloated files and recodes them without losing much visible quality and we can have all of Fairy Tail in blu-ray as well.
The Eiyuu no Musume manga ended, but it was never anything special so no big loss.
I rewatched the Dark Knight trilogy and it was a lot worse than I remember. I suppose it was watchable even a second time, so I'll give it that. But it never gave me any strong emotions, which is what good movies do. I moved Batman down in my great movies hall of fame as a result.
Now I'm watching the Rome HBO tv series, which is a cool, dramatic retelling of the actual historical events surrounding the rise of Julius and Augustus Caesar to power. It's easier to remember everything when it's couched as a story instead of dry details. Still, I don't like the gratuitous nudity, sex and profanity simply because it's HBO so they can get away with it. It adds nothing to the story. Haven't these people ever heard of the feminine mystique? Stop trotting their wares out like horses. I wish it focused only on the war and politics.
