The villains of this story have always been over the top and obnoxious, but this time it took the cake. A group of nun-clad women singing in a chorus their love of torture as they watch over a mad scientist conducting experiments? I mean, come on.
But worse than even that was the blatant ripoff of Euphemia in Princess Fille. What do you know, a nice, pink-haired princess turns out to be a bloodthirsty monster. The first time, in the actually good series, it was a tragedy, but the second time it's played back as farce. I don't take kindly to people dragging Euphemia's sorrows through the mud like this.
There was never really anything going for this series, so if it's going to insult people I care about on top of that I'm done.
Meanwhile, I finished my rewatch of Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, which easily proved itself to be the great series I thought it to be. It doesn't take a high budget to show people caring for each other and doing the right thing. It just takes a good writer. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear proves there's still love and caring in the world and that's enough by me to rate it among the highest. The cuteness of the bear waitresses is off the charts. I wish I could visit that restaurant.
My copy of Bravely Default II arrived today, but God knows when I'll actually get to play it. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is giving me a real headache, it's difficult to make any progress in it, and I have to beat it before I can play anything else. These four Switch rpg's, plus the Kud Wafter, Aiyoku no Eustia, Majikoi A-4 and Summer Pockets Reflection Blue visual novels which are bound to come out 'real soon now' feels like an unrelenting schedule for the entire rest of the year.
