I've now barreled through all the stocked up light novels. Index is usually a good series, this author is very reliable and very talented. A little too prolific for my tastes, but oh well, GT 3 was as good as any of his other books. There's a reason he's my 2nd favorite light novel author.
The main cast is missing this time around and instead it focuses on side characters Kuroko and Hamazura. This is because the main cast is fighting their own battle which is detailed in GT 2. Funny how the number of books increases but not even a single additional day passes in the chronology. Index is a very busy world.
Various people die and it's made to look like Hamazura dies, but we all know he'll magically survive somehow or other. He's too popular a character to kill off, so I wonder why the author even bothers to pretend to fool us with this sort of stuff. He doesn't have the guts to actually pull something like that off.
A free for all battle in the middle of Christmas between law enforcement and the 'dark side' of Academy City is pretty cool, and it's even cooler that in the end law enforcement is totally routed. Score one for the bad guys.
Index sure has a lot of fights, though. I guess that's what to expect from this series, even though all I really want to see is the romantic developments.
Meanwhile, 'In Another World With 100 Waifus', my own book which is chock full of romantic developments, received its 12th 5-star rating today. That makes 12 people on Earth who understand greatness when they see it and have crowned me 'king of writers.' Actually 13 since I understand that about myself too. Each additional vote of confidence overjoys me, because it makes me think I'm not alone in this world. There is sentience out there, somewhere, however rare it might be. All my proofreading and editing pays off when new readers read the book for the first time, never aware that it had any errors to begin with, seeing only the perfect finished work in their hands. What an experience that must be! I envy them, as someone who has to wade through the muck of mistakes every time I read over the book again. >.<.
Meanwhile, 100-man announced a 2nd season and Danmachi at least announced a new ova featuring Hestia in a risque situation. I'll take that, thank you very much.
