I've been hinting at wanting to do this for a long time, but the conclusions to the winter season had to happen before any changes would be informed and meaningful. With Kamisama coming to a close I can now definitively re-rank every show.
As promised, Pretty Cure moves up to the #1 position. The avalanche of episodes and movies, now at 748 but slated to continue years into the future, is unstoppable. No other show has even half the content as Pretty Cure. Even if Pretty Cure is half as good as its opponents it still steamrolls through sheer quantity. Maybe if Pretty Cure were discontinued at some point in the future someone could catch up, but is there any sign of that happening ever?
Due to the good work of the fan editors of One Pace, One Piece moves up to #4. If One Pace ever quit editing One Piece would drop like a rock, but so far so good.
SAO dropped down to #9, because it doesn't have an ending unlike all its competition. The new Progressive movie announcement doesn't help us reach that ending any either.
Due to new seasons being announced, stuff like Yuuki Yuuna, Honzuki no Gekokujou, BanG Dream and Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear moved up naturally. Based on the prophetic eye for its 2nd season, Kuma jumped up to #117. What a solid outing it had, full of feel good moments, cute visuals and slightly cynical humor.
Nekopara rose to #133 because I was floored by its quality upon rewatching. That's high praise for a 14-ep comedy. Vinland Saga stayed a step ahead at #132 and Granblue Fantasy at #131 because I couldn't imagine either of them losing out to Nekopara.
The new kid on the block, Kami-tachi, rose up to #148 on a solid showing. At only one season, and a rather placid and mild one at that, it can't get much further.
Hikaru no Go and Chihayafuru dropped down to #129 and #130 because they're both unfinished psuedo-sports. Maybe if they gave Chihayafuru another three seasons it could go back up again.
Kami-sama ni Natta hi was a particular challenge to rank. The bait and switch of the series was atrocious. Claiming the story was about God and the end of the world, and then turning it into health care for autistic retards, is about as lame a betrayal as I've ever seen in storytelling. But you can't let that cloud your judgement too far. The first 9 or whatever episodes of the series were still absolutely splendid. The comedy was top notch, the music was amazing, the art was gorgeous, and at least the main characters appealing. I consider this series a comedy, whatever the author's intent was, because the great portion was a comedy. And on its merits as a comedy it fetched up at #181.
I dropped Tears to Tiara down to #198 because try as I might I can't find anyone to really like in the series. Everyone is so bland. I'd like to find a replacement for this series soon, maybe 2021 will come up with something. Or they could animate the sequel game to this show which has Hamilcar, Tarte, and that cute elephant rider girl, actually appealing characters, but we all know that will never happen.

With Non Non Biyori announcing its manga is ending soon, there's a high probability the new anime season will also have a proper ending. (maybe by skipping some of the middle portion stuff). This makes Non non Biyori's third season even more anticipated as the highlight of the winter season.
Frozen 2 was a lot of music and a lot of nonsense but not much content. I'm surprised since Frozen was so good. I guess the sequel was just a moneygrab. Oh well.
