This movie finally received real subtitles, though they have to be combined manually with a raw version of the movie. No biggie. There's really everything to like about the film, with cute girls, friendship, guts, teamwork and victory. Ingenious Mcgyver-like outside-the-box thinking by Akeno solves every naval warfare complication on the fly. Wow this crew is talented.
My only complaint is the show tells us little we didn't already know and feels like a fluffy 'add-on' hardly vital to the series. Since the series was already complete in itself making a movie later will always have this drawback. In that sense, the new Kimetsu no Yaiba movie is situated much better as an integral piece of the manga's plot.
The other problem is the movie is only an hour and a half long, so how much can it really contribute compared to entire series that have aired this year like Nekopara? But insofar as a movie can contribute, it did a fine job.
Choyoyu's newest manga volume was delayed until December, so the next exciting thing coming is the latest Gun Gale Online volume on the 24th. With WoW Shadowlands incoming tomorrow it hardly matters, though. WoW is all-consuming and can keep people entertained all on its own forever. With 21 max-level characters and two more on their way to max level I'm ready to absorb as much time as necessary in this new plane of existence.
