The election results are as of yet unclear. The Presidency, the Senate, even the House hasn't been determined. They may take weeks of lawsuits to decide. I suppose I should address some basic questions though:
1) Is Trump losing via voter fraud? Perhaps. But then again, it was always slimy how Republicans won through a quirk of the electoral college while losing the popular vote every single time anyway. Between the two which is more unfair? The fact is, most Americans prefer Biden and the Democratic Party over Trump and the Republican Party. Even with all their crazy ideas. That's on us as Republicans. We need to somehow become more likable and appealing to more people. This shouldn't be hard considering what we're competing with, but we still fail election after election. Let's find some issues that are unpopular and jettison them from the party, while picking up some popular issues the other side has so far avoided. Let's field candidates with impeccable private lives and credentials who never say anything politically incorrect. Every election is winnable if you push the right buttons with people, especially when the other side has embraced communist eco-anarchy. It shouldn't be that hard.
2) Is this the end of the world? Not at all. So long as Republicans keep the Senate, they can block all the terrible ideas Democrats ran on this year. In fact, in some ways, this is better than Trump winning re-election. I never liked Trump much, I just wanted him to stop the court packing, the state packing, amnesty, reparations, etc. The Senate can do that on its own. Meanwhile bumbling Biden and affirmative action Kamala will make a mockery of the Democratic party every day in the news and by 2024 we can run a sensible candidate like Tucker Carlson and take it all back.
With so many Republican senate seats up for grabs it's hard to believe we'd lose the Presidency but keep the Senate, but thanks to some oddball voters in Maine who voted for Susan Collins + Biden I guess that's how it's going to be. 2 years from now a bunch of Democratic Senators will have to defend their seats and we'll even be able to expand our Senate firewall, safely riding out the entire Biden/Kamala ticket.
I was very tense on election day, fearing the blue wave the pollsters told us we were in for. But it never happened. We barely lost if we lost at all. Whatever happens from here I'm relaxed about, the consequences are inconsequential.
Meanwhile, life resumes. The election is behind us, and two new light novels have been released at nyaa.si. Bleach and Imouto Sae Ireba Ii are both beloved series I've been looking forward to. Next week some more good stuff is slated for release. And eventually WoW Shadowlands will arrive. Que sera sera.
