Warheart:

The final volume of the Sword of Truth, Warheart, finally reached its end.  Like usual for this new series, Richard relied on information hidden from the reader and deus ex machinas to overcome what seemed like insurmountable odds.  For instance, the poison of death could be removed at any time of Richard's choosing and it could be used as a weapon, so it was a blessing, not a curse.  It didn't even suppress his gift, he just chose not to use it to keep that fact hidden.  Well that sure makes life easier.

Samantha remains a madwoman to the end, refusing to believe Richard's account of reality, refusing to accept any evidence, and eventually accidentally kills herself, removing another dumb obstacle.  Why did she suddenly become so stupid and untrusting when before she was nice and trusted Richard?  No reason.  Just one of those mood swings teenage girls go through, I guess.

The problems and the solutions in this book were all dumb.  The Omen Machine which before no weapon or magic could harm politely disappeared when Richard yelled at it.  Okay.  At this point why not. . .

Oh, and, obviously, as predicted, Richard's death didn't last long.  Kahlan, Nicci and crew quickly brought him back to life at the beginning of the book.  Everything in this story is phony and meant to troll the audience, creating artificial drama and suspense, but nothing is honest or sincere.  If someone dies they only come back more powerful than before.  If someone is in mortal peril actually they can cure themselves whenever they want to.  It's just kept from the audience until the appropriate moment for the big reveal.

The Omen Machine was a good book, but everything after it was worse than useless.  Each subsequent book was worse than the last, clearly in keeping with Goodkind's aging mind.  Now that I'm through with it, I'll have to find something else to read.  Perhaps Sanderson's Stormlight Archive.  Anything would be better than this.

I also deleted 'Ninja Battle,' by Kimio Nomura, from my music hall of fame.  It chose some odd chords and scales and it didn't sit right with me.  Back down to 5461 songs.

I've already voted for Trump.  If you want to save America from its very own Twilight Count (the end of days), you should do so as well.  He's the only thing standing between us and a Democrat Dictatorship which includes open borders and granting citizenship to a new permanent third world, Democrat-voting majority, forever.  Of course forever won't last long because these new third world Americans will make such a mess of things that the country will shatter under their weight, but the point here isn't the length of time but the irretrievability of the situation.  It's Trump or irretrievable doom.  I'd like to play the rest of Final Fantasy 7 Remake when it comes out so please vote Trump.
