Yay! A great manga actually ended and was actually translated to the end! Not even Kimetsu no Yaiba can say that (we in America have no access to the Rengoku prequel). It took a year longer than when Japan got to see the ending, but all in all not bad. For a while I thought I'd never get to see the ending of this series, but suddenly a group picked it up and has been blazing through the chapters reliably ever since. This is a rare success story. It helps that the ending was sweet and happy too.
This manga is in my manga hall of fame for now, but once I get to see the movie I suspect it will leave my manga hall of fame (since it will have little value added compared to the anime), and instead the series will enter my anime hall of fame. But wherever it resides it's a great story. I can't wait to see the movie, whenever that happens. 2021? 2022? Arghhh, waiting sucks.
For now everyone should go read the manga. Now that it's fully scanlated there can be no excuse to miss out on this touching, simple, realistic high school romance. Io Sakisaka is a genius. Okay, there is one good excuse -- if you're busy reading '100 Waifus' Omoi can wait. But there's no other excuse.
(Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare even gets a mention in '100 Waifus' via the child named Rio!)
