A horror series if I've ever seen one. People acting extremely eccentrically, throwing you off balance. Beautiful scenery warping into gory nightmares. Sudden and severe violence being done to people's bodies coming out of nowhere. Made in Abyss is trying to gross you out and only the strong can endure to the end roll. Of course this was true of the original season as well, but I feel like the movie ramped everything up to the nth degree.
Oh well, after Promised Neverland, I guess I'm used to horror, no matter how many children are tortured and killed in front of me I'm desensitized to it all. The good news is there's another season of Made in Abyss and Promised Neverland coming so the horror is without end.
Meanwhile, I cut 'We form in crystals' by Motoi Sakuraba from my music hall of fame due to its boring and lifeless melody. Back down to 5461.
Edens Zero has an anime release date, April 2021. Attack on Titan resumes this December, so technically a fall season anime. Random Curiosity has its fall season preview up for anyone interested in what's coming. So many good series. The fall season is so close and yet still so far away.
Railgun ended without the announcement of a new season, so I added a new Index/Railgun anime back to my wishlist, kicking out Futari Ecchi to make room. Predictable but still disappointing. There's still 26+ Index novels they could be adapting, another arc of the Railgun manga, and even more Accelerator manga if necessary. There's no reason Index/Railgun should ever stop being animated, just like One Piece or Precure.
