I continue to fulfill my promise to both watch and rewatch in full any series I rank as 'great.' MIX was as good as I remembered it. Rewatching it felt like a comfortable breeze. My only complaint is the series ends well before the manga -- much like Touch itself which also ended before the ending. What's with this cursed franchise?
I'm also basically finished rewatching Boku no Hero Academia. It's impossible to finish rewatching because two episodes haven't come out yet. I can't even watch them much less rewatch. Boku no Hero Academia's early episodes really aren't that good. It's just as I remember here as well. But everything changes when Eri joins the picture. Suddenly the stakes at every moment are infinite -- a young girl's fragile heart could be shattered at the touch of a feather, or she could smile for the very first time in her life, depending on what our heroes do next! And everyone's emotions become more serious and heroic in reaction to that sudden responsibility, to the point that you start to admire them for the very first time. It's a world of difference, before Eri and after Eri. You could found an entire calendar system on it. There are two episodes left of 'After Eri' Hero Academia. Since each episode of 'After Eri' is worth its weight in gold, I still can't tell how good this series is yet!
I'd like to revise my top anime rankings in light of Bleach being animated until the ending, but I can't until I see the ending to Hero Academia. That's still two weeks away. Argh! Why can't the final two eps of Hero Academia leak or something! Everything's in a snarl like this!
Kimetsu no Yaiba's not fully out in blu-ray yet, but with March Madness missing, beggars can't be choosers, so this will be my next target for the official stamp of approval via rewatching.
