This is a light novel series, adapted into a manga I've been following happily. Now it's getting an anime release, another 'rank up.' It might make it into my great anime rankings, it's such a heartwarming and unique story, but it's hard to do so when you only get one 12 episode season to work with.
There's no telling when the anime will actually arrive but there's plenty of good scheduled stuff already to entertain us in 2020. Starting with SAO this April.
The Fate/Kaleid Liner ova wasn't very good -- as expected of a silly filler acid trip -- but it wasn't bad either. The most important aspect was at the end, when it showed a scene from the actual manga and said, 'to be continued.' This implies that, as soon as the author of 3rei actually completes his dumb story, the anime adaption will continue and give us the conclusion in anime form as well. If true, that would be huge. Kaleid/Liner is an amazing series and deserves a full anime rendition, just like Bleach. But nothing can be done while the author is on continuous hiatus.
