The newest addition to my anime voices hall of fame is Unsho Ishizuka. Sadly, he died last year of throat cancer. Nevertheless, over his long and illustrious career, he's left a legacy to the anime and video game world that will never be forgotten. This guy was a star of stars, playing virtually every important role in every important series.
Zabuza from Naruto, Kizaru from One Piece, Joseph Joestar from Jojo's, Guld from Macross, Sakaki from Kenichi, Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball, Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop, Dr. Harada from Chihayafuru, Gene Smilas from Code Geass, he seems to show up in every important or famous show ever made.
The reward might be posthumous, but no one deserves to rank among the greatest of seiyuu more than Unsho Ishizuka. Billions of people's lives have been, or will be, touched by his magnificent performances within all the greatest classics in storytelling history. No one can hope to fill his shoes.
That makes 195. 5 more slots to go.
