These anime aren't good, so there's no sense in watching them anymore. The characters are more annoying than compelling. Plus their lives are insufferably dull.
That reduces the spring season down to 12 series, really 11 since Ojamajo consists of 1 minute shorts. So it goes. I'm looking forward to the summer season which should have a much better field.
Inuyasha is getting a blu-ray release. This is going to be great -- so long as it appears online. I could use a better archive version than the dvd's, which are low resolution and full of mosaic/pixelation errors. Now if only they did the same for Crest of the Stars. . .
I finished proofreading the newest section of 100 Waifus. My biggest complaint is how often the word 'just' shows up. But I've found no remedy, as it's always the best word in every situation.
'Just' can mean 'exactly,' 'immediately prior to,' 'simply,' 'only,' 'ignoring all distractions,' and more. And in every one of those cases it is the shorter word and thus preferable in everyday conversation. Who would say, "Immediately prior to now," instead of "Just now," or "Exactly like," instead of "Just like" ?
It turns out 'just' is the magic word used for everything, in all situations, and there's 'simply' no escaping it. Except I could have used 'just' right there and saved myself a syllable. Do you see how insidious it is?
