Unless they announce another season someday, the 9th best anime of all time is now fully available in blu-ray and English subtitles. The dramatic conclusion of an epic tale that has stretched across a decade. Everyone should be jumping on this like starved rabbits.
We're so close to so many additional great things happening -- Game of Thrones' last season starts airing April 14th. There's only one chapter of Junai Sensation left untranslated. The newest Outbreak Company novel comes out on the 15th, and the newest Akame ga Kill! Zero manga volume comes out on the 23rd.
So close and yet so far away. The resumption of Shingeki no Kyojin S3 is 20 days away. Avengers: Endgame. Star Wars IX. It's like that with everything.
One thing that isn't even close to done is my music appreciation project. In order to prove all my hall of fame music is worthy I need to listen to every song in it 100 times. 4,420 of my songs still haven't reached that mark, and of those, the median number of times I have listened to them is only 40.
I'm 40% of the way through a project that's already taken years. At this rate it will probably take four more years to finish the job. It's pretty eye-opening. One must truly love music to take on something this ambitious, it isn't something just anyone can do. That's why it will be all the sweeter once it's finished and I stand triumphant.
Mix won't be in my spring first impressions because it's a continuation of Touch, which is already in my great anime rankings. Obviously Mix is great too, just like UQ Holder was great as part of Negima.
