Zero no Tsukaima fully translated:

Volume 22's final chapter and epilogue were translated today.  This should be a wonderful thing.  After all, it's been 14 years since the first season of the anime came out, and only now do we get to see the ending.

However, this isn't the ending we deserved.  It's absolutely awful.  Even worse than everything that came before.  Saito and Louise get married -- exactly what you'd expect.  They consummate their marriage -- exactly what you'd expect.  And then Saito decides to return to Earth alone, abandoning the magic world, including the wife whose virginity he just took yesterday, forever.

So that he can visit his parents and tell them he's alright.

Yes.  That was the reason.  He abandoned his wife, his status, his power, his friends, everything and everyone he'd built up over 22 volumes.  He decided they were all worthless.  What really mattered to him was that his parents might be feeling anxious about his fate so, oh well, I guess I have to betray and abandon my wife.

And then, through a miracle, Louise jumps through the gate which it was just explained only had enough magic left to transport one person -- and so the two of them return to Earth together.

Okay, so, Saito already decided to abandon her, but through another bullshit deus ex machina they stay together.

But now Louise has just lost all of her friends, family, homeland, power, status, and everything she had built up over the last 22 volumes as well.  Everything has been abandoned and lost, for no reason.  For nothing.  They can look forward to nothing on Earth that could remotely match what they just lost.

And they already lost their marriage because Saito had already decided to break things off with her.  The fact that she miraculously leaped through the gate doesn't change the fact that Saito made that choice.  That he broke his marriage vows and betrayed her for the sake of his worried parents.  So why even follow him?  There's only ashes on the other side.  The ashes of a dead relationship, a marriage that only lasted for a single night.

Louise is just 1 of Christopher's 100 waifus in my latest book, but he still treats her infinitely better than Saito treats Louise in the official actual story.  It's unfathomable.  It's sickening.  God probably killed the author early because he wrote such a bad ending.  It's no wonder even God couldn't take it anymore and just assassinated him.  When you do unforgivable shit like this, what's left?

If anyone likes Zero no Tsukaima, I suggest they read my book -- not the actual series.  That's just how far volume 22 has fallen.
