One of the perennial series on my anime wishlist has finally received an anime adaption announcement. This after it was announced that the manga was coming to an end next month.
Presumably, with all the material available, the movie could cover the entire story. I'm not sure how much would have to be cut to do that, since it's a long manga, but there's probably plenty of sub-plots that could be cut to no real damage. I'm looking forward to the movie to see just what is covered and what isn't. If the movie is good enough it could enter my top anime rankings.
But that's years from now. First they have to release it in Japan, and then it has to be released on blu-ray, and finally fansubbed from there. Who knows how long that process will take.
Omoi, Omaware is now a wish granted, so it couldn't stay on my wishlist any longer. I replaced it with a wish for a better version of Mujaki no Rakuen, despite knowing that will never happen due to censorship. It's a wishlist, not a pragmatism list, so even futile wishes are fine. Futari Ecchi is also on my wishlist even though it could never happen either for the same reasons.
Akame ga Kill! Zero Volume 9's translated commercial release has been delayed a week to April 30th. Sigh. I was really looking forward to it too.
I'll watch Avengers: Endgame when it comes out on Disney+. It's great that it finally comes out in theaters this week, but it doesn't help me any.
Elon Musk is touting Tesla's full self driving ability. Like everything Musk does, I'll believe it when I see it. The Crew Dragon exploding during a routine test doesn't inspire confidence.
Next week should see the defeat of the Night King in Game of Thrones, setting the stage for the final dramatic conflict with Cersei in the south. Since I'll actually get to see that I'm much more excited over it. April is going to end with a bang.
