Spring 2019 Anime Preview:

Star Twinkle has had a glorious start, it's looking really good right now.  If it maintains this pace it'll rejoin the ranks of greatness.  It was also the final show of the winter season, from here on we can only look forward to what the spring season brings.

Fairy Gone is by the maker of Hai to Gensou no Grimgar, so I have high hopes for it, but with SAO gone I expect spring to be worse than winter.

However, SAO will return to the lineup sooner or later.  They promised us the entire alicization storyline would be animated.  So I'm not too worried about the break.  I assume it's so they can work harder on keeping the art looking good by giving themselves some more time to work with.

Also, Index S3 will be over, but either Accelerator or Railgun will pick up the baton so we won't be missing this show for long.  If not this spring than certainly this summer.

Spring will be great, and summer will likely be even better.  2019 is just a fantastic year for anime.

Meanwhile, I've read all the Gun-Ota manga available.  It's another decent isekai story on top of all the others.  There's still more manga isekai stories out there so I haven't exhausted my options just yet.  And with Valkyria Chronicles 4 + Soul Calibur 6 headed this way in the mail February is guaranteed to be a blast.  Anime is great but it doesn't take up all week.  Video games can just be played and played and played.
