Blue Dragon Music:

I didn't get this the first time around, but all three Blue Dragon games share the same soundtrack, aside from a few irregularities.  So when I judged Awakened Shadow's music to be no good, that was a pretty sound rebuke of the entire franchise.

However, I felt that surely Nobuo Uematsu couldn't let me down for a whole three games in a row without a single song to show for it, so I listened to the ost's of Plus and Original as well.

Only now, at the end, do I understand.  The original soundtrack used the Xbox's sound card, while Awakened Shadow used the DS's.  This made the Xbox version sound much better, which is part of why I so thoroughly rejected Awakened Shadow.  Based on the Xbox version of the music, I found five good songs in the soundtrack -- and as for Plus, I found one good song here as well that isn't found in the original Xbox game, 'Shadow Fight', for a total of 6 new Uematsu songs.

I can't say it was a very good haul, but I knew going it that I wouldn't get much out of it.  I'm just glad Blue Dragon has some good music, as my first pass came up completely empty.

This puts Uematsu's hall of fame total up to a nice round 620 songs, and my new songs added since January up to a tantalizing 992.  Just 8 more songs to reach my goal.  If only Ares no Tenbin's ost would come out. . .

Meanwhile, we won the Mississippi senate seat, as expected.  This puts our Senate majority to a comforting 53-47.  Now it's time to appoint more conservative judges and cabinet members who will take the fight to the Democrats.
