Naturally I also added the new girls, in a slightly more informative and organized fashion, to my 'Eroticism Isn't Innately Bad' permapost.

Either these girls were extremely attractive, or the feelings these girls felt for their loved ones was extremely enviable, or both.

For instance, Lyria just has such a fun loving and trusting relationship with Gran that I couldn't help but want that for myself, even though I wouldn't normally rate Lyria very highly by herself in abstract.  Sometimes it's the relationship that's more beautiful than the girl herself.

Contrariwise, Kirino's relationship with her brother is forever dysfunctional, but I find she herself to be so attractive that it's all worthwhile anyway.

The same with Nadeko who spends more time trying to kill Koyomi than loving him -- she's just so attractive that her snake like venom as she stabs me and stabs me can be ignored.

Some girls have such tragic stories that you would have to be insane to want to be married to them, like Fuu and Wakaba, but in the idealized harem world you can just change those endings to a happier, more permanent relationship with yourself.  After all, the tragedy only occurred with that other guy in that other world, whereas the girls are now with me, so the old rules no longer apply.  Only the feelings those girls felt for their boys are transferred over to me, not their fates.

I'm quite the predator for wanting 100 different waifus to love me all at once, but I find that each girl's 'lifetime' is only a few hours or days at best, since the art that portrays them only lasts so long each, so to feel fulfilled you need enough girls to stitch all those short times together or else it would just grow too repetitive.
