In a surprising twist, new SS Memorias were introduced only one week after the previous event. My quartz reserves were already exhausted from last week's recruitments, and now I suddenly had to recruit again. But the game wasn't actually being mean, it offered that one of the two new Memorias could be gotten for free, just by logging in for the next three days. I've done my logins and chosen the recruit I wanted -- Goddess Yingxia. She looks like she jumped out of a painting of some mythological Chinese deity.
Yingxia has the highest potential strength in the game, due to her powerful buffs that multiply the power of others, and this SS Memoria is no different in that aspect. She gives everyone in your party up to thunder crit and up to crit damage. So long as you use her in a thunder-only squad she's almighty. And luckily my thunder squad is almost as strong as my fire squad. If Yingxia weren't stuck at 0 limit breaks this might have made my thunder squad stronger than my fire squad.
But I didn't stop there, I spent $85 to rake in more of the offered recruits, which mostly went to improving my thunder squad -- base Sumomo reached limit break 3, Pajamas Hisame and Vulpine Miya both received 10 shards, so they're halfway to their level 4 limit breaks and max level. And I also got Tuxedo Yuki, also a thunder user. Tuxedo Tama also reached limit break 2, but I honestly can't find any use for her. I don't think her trailblazer skill is remotely as good as her other exclusive abilities embedded within her other SS Memorias. Well, you can't win them all.
So in the space of a few days I've upped my total SS count to 94, and the number of max level girls is about to explode with Miya, Hisame and Chie all on the brink.
Just to explain how awesome my thunder squad is now, it has level 4 swimsuit Sumomo with her Electro slash technique, that does massive thunder damage to dp bars. It has level 3.5 pajamas Hisame with her Dreaming Desire slash, which if it breaks an opponent's dp bar grants the whole party an additional 8sp each time. (This can let the party start firing off chain super moves every turn until the end of the battle in an orgy of violence). It's got level 1 yukata Tama who usually is stuck healing, but can also buff the whole party with plus to thunder skill attack. It has level 0 swimsuit Megumi who creates a permanent field of plus to thunder damage and reduces the opponents' thunder defense simultaneously. It has level 3.5 Vulpine Miya who increases damage dealt when you specifically strike an enemy's elemental vulnerability (and why would I be using my thunder squad unless they're already vulnerable to thunder?) and also reduces an enemy's physical defense. And now it has Goddess Yingxia who gives everybody automatic thunder crits and increased crit damage.
So the enemy has down to physical defense, down to thunder defense, and exposed vulnerability. Meanwhile I have a plus to thunder attack skill, plus to thunder environmental field, auto thunder crit and up to crit damage. Then Sumomo uses her almighty attack which innately grants up to thunder skill attack and up to multihit, and also does +50% damage to dp bars. Plus she's wearing a thunder ring which increases thunder damage by another 10%. And if Yingxia has time, she can also give a buff to her skill attack, which stacks with buffs to thunder skill attacks. Not much can survive a blow like that. I almost feel bad for the Cancer.
