Music Listening Project reaches 60% completion rate:

1/3 of my hall of fame music has been properly listened to 100 times.  The remaining 2/3 have been listened to a median of 43 times out of 100.  Add it up and it turns out I'm 60% of the way through the project as a whole.

So long as I don't add massive numbers of songs like I did last year, I could potentially finish in the next year or two!  Woot!

Once I've listened to all my favorite songs 100 times, I can move on to the next step of the project, and rate them all from 1 to 5 stars.  Then I'll multiply the rating of the song to the number of songs to establish the true worth of all my favorite music artists and know once for all who humanity's leading lights are.  To keep the ratings objective, I think I'll mandate all five rating categories hold equal numbers of songs -- to grade them effectively on a curve.  Otherwise I might end up with everyone getting rated 5 stars or 1 star and the middle hollowing out.  The limited number of slots will make every 5 star song super special.  Well, that's still years from now.  For now I'm just happy to reach this milestone.

I've also finished rewatching Fairy Tail in full, even the extra movies and oav's that don't fall anywhere in the plotline.  My favorite arcs were any time they weren't fighting a member of the balam alliance.  My least favorite arcs were any time they were.  Fairy Tail Final is pure gold since they had already beaten the balam alliance by then.  I love every episode and every second of their fight with Alvarez.  Another good stretch is the first 48 episodes where it was more about introducing the cast than throwing them into endless battle segments.  The alpha and omega of Fairy Tail is Fairy Tail at its finest.

With Fairy Tail done, it's time to watch the rest of Rave Master, and then hopefully read the Rave Master manga that comes after the anime.  My time with Hiro Mashima isn't done yet.  Plus there's still more Dracu Riot.

LSU vs. Alabama next week is a preview of the national championship game.  It should be fantastic.

P.S.:  I Said to Make My Abilities Average! dropped.  There's so much filler that the anime is utterly worthless.  You're better off just reading the manga.
