2015 Treatment for 2011 Anime:

How did the anime scene look way back in 2011?  It almost feels like a foreign country by now.  But there was still plenty to be happy about:

2011 isn't as good as 2012, 2013 or 2014 without question.  Even so, it can make a case against 2015.  2015 relies on sequels, whereas 2011 had lots of new great shows like Madoka Magica, Hanasaku Iroha, Anohana, Majikoi, Haganai, and Idolm@ster.  Working S2 was worse than Working S3, but not by much.  Even so, look where season 2 is here in 2011, at 27th place.  Working S3 is at 8th place in 2015.  When you look at the sheer strength of all these highly ranked series in their first season, 2011 > 2015.
