Fate/Kaleid Liner 2wei Herz Announced:

Great news!  To go alongside the Nanoha Vivid announcement, now we're getting a promise from Silver Link that they will continue the storyline of Kaleid Liner 2wei in 2015.  Ten episodes wasn't nearly enough to cover the manga material, so a new season will be coming to rectify the smallness of this season's production.  This is all well and good, but even if 2wei is fully covered it just leaves an even larger cliffhanger for the 3rei material.  Will the anime really continue all the way into 3rei?  If so that would be marvelous.  If not, Kaleid Liner will always be a few steps short of perfection, lacking any satisfying ending to all the plot threads it started spinning so many years ago.  Even so, the more Fate anime is made, the higher and higher its push into my ratings will become.  This franchise is becoming a somewhat irresistible force with the amount of new seasons spurring it along.

Tales of Zestiria has set a release date of 1/22/15.  That's not far from when Tales of Xillia 2 came out in America, and luckily this time Zestiria is a worldwide release date, we'll be getting our hands on it at the same time as Japan gets theirs.  It's looking to be like a Tales festival these days -- the new Zestiria anime will also be coming out, and it wasn't long since the Tales Chronicles game, combining Symphonia and Symphonia 2, came out earlier this year as well.  Bring on the Tales!  This franchise has never let us down.  It gets better every iteration.

The Naruto manga, unlike the Kenichi manga, is carefully tying up all loose ends and delivering on every single foreshadowed event.  This is how a professional writes a story.  Let this be a lesson to everyone else -- Naruto is great because Naruto delivers on its promises, from the very beginning to the very end.  I can't wait to see what happens next.

The Bleach manga is as sparse with words and silly as ever, but this isn't a bad thing.  The entertaining fights with cameos from lots of characters are nostalgic and lighthearted.  The serious fights will come eventually.  There's no rush.  A Bleach anime would be so great.  Sigh. . .

The One Piece manga is a little too crazily complicated for my tastes.  There must be 100 named characters out on the battlefield right now all doing different things.  Is this One Piece or Wheel of Time?  Hopefully we'll learn more about Trafalgar's past in the coming chapters, and Don Flamingo will finally be put out of commission.  After that comes the island of Zou and Kaidou(?)

It's likely that Index season 3 will be announced soon, as part of the 10th anniversary celebration.  If it isn't announced now, lord knows when it will be, if ever.  Tense times for Academy City.
