Fall 2014 Anime Season Preview:

The Fall Anime Season 2014 previews are up at both Cart Driver and Random Curiosity's sites.  I'm pretty excited about this new season.  You can never tell if something's good or not unless you actually try it, but for now I plan to at least try 21 new shows.  If even half of them work out, the fall schedule will be a monumental success.  If I had to rank these shows by how much I'm expecting from them, it would currently look like this:

1.  Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works
2.  Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai
3.  Grisaia no Kajitsu
4.  Sora no Method
5.  Amagi Brilliant Park
6.  Nanatsu no Taizai
7.  World Trigger
8.  Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomote
9.  Shirobako
10.  Trinity Seven
11.  Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu
12.  Girlfriend (Kari)
13.  Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis
14.  Madan no Ou to Vanadis
15.  Akatsuki no Yona
16.  Shigatsu wo Kimi na Uso
17.  Yuuki Yuna wa Yuusha de Aru
18.  Donten ni Warau
19.  Inou Battle wa Nichijou-ke no Naka de
20.  Cross Ange:  Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo
21.  Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranei Ken

To make matters better, we're also getting a Strike Witches ova, a Gokukoku no Brynhildr ova, a Hayate ova, an Idolm@ster movie, a Prince of Tennis ova, a Yuru Yuri ova, a To Love ru Darkness ova, and a Shingeki no Kyojin ova.

There will also be more Precure, One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Yama no Susume, Fairy Tail, and Sailor Moon carrying over from the previous season.  It's still up in the air whether SAO will continue into the fall or not.  I sure hope so.  Mother's Rosario awaits.

Speaking of compilation remakes, The psp game, 'FFIV Complete Collection' is really good.  Three games in one, with excellent old school 2d graphics and old school turn based game mechanics, the way RPG's should be.  The music and sprite art of the original FFIV have both been remastered, so everything feels better than ever now.  This is the perfect FFIV remake everyone's been waiting for.  Just like the X/X-2 bundle, Squaresoft really does know how to treat its old games right.  The question is why haven't they made the one game we're all waiting for, FF7?  Do they need the PS5 to do it justice or something?  FFXV looks great, but it doesn't have the turn based gameplay or the Nobuo Uematsu music I love.  Just do FF7 with the graphics seen in FFXV and you would have the greatest game ever made.  Since Squaresoft loves bundles, throw in Crisis Core, the Advent Children movie, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis, and every other FF7 related product they've made.  With that much value, who wouldn't bite?
