The Dispossessed:

I am a native Texan. I was born here, I was raised here, my family is here, my friends are here, and I have no particular desire to move elsewhere. I have deep roots in Texas. My great grandmother lived here, a rich southern lady, who even at age 100 remembered her past well enough to exclaim "Damn Yankees." Not to sound partisan, my ancestry has equally blue blood to the North of me, stretching back to Kansas, Canada, and ultimately all the way to Miles Standish when he stepped off the Mayflower. I am sure plenty of my ancestors also exclaimed "Damn Rebs'" in their day.

I know the Texas state song, and sing it happily whenever I have the chance:
Texas, our Texas! All hail the mighty State!
Texas, our Texas! So wonderful so great!
Boldest and grandest, Withstanding ev'ry test;
O Empire wide and glorious, You stand supremely blest.

The remaining stanzas I don't have memorized, but I find touching all the same:
[Refrain] God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, Thro'out the ages long.

Texas, O Texas! Your freeborn single star,
Sends out its radiance to nations near and far.
Emblem of freedom! It sets our hearts aglow,
With thoughts of San Jacinto and glorious Alamo.

[Refrain]

Texas, dear Texas! From tyrant grip now free,
Shines forth in splendor your star of destiny!
Mother of heroes! We come your children true,
Proclaiming our allegiance, our faith, our love for you.

[Refrain]
What an amazing song. The last two lines carry so much meaning in them, so much ancient philosophy, that has been lost to the modern age. Texas is our motherland, a mother of heroes (And by this we don't mean teachers or firemen or something, we mean actual heroes who performed heroic deeds and made heroic sacrifices on the battlefield for love of kith, love of freedom, and love of country.), to be true to our motherland, we must be as heroic as our ancestors who fought and died for our freedom. To be a true Texan means to be cut out of the same cloth as our heroic founding fathers, to be any less stains our Mother's honor, it sullies the name of 'Texas' and 'Texan.' The last line of the song is even more direct. I, the one singing this song, proclaim my allegiance, my faith, and my love for you (Texas, our Mother.)

This is nationalism. It is loving your country and pledging your service to it as a higher and more important end than your own individual whims. It's remembering your country's history and values and seeking to emulate and preserve them generation to generation. It's knowing who your heroes are and why.

I have visited the Alamo twice in my life. It is holy ground. I remember the Alamo, where some three hundred men held up the entire army of Santa Ana for 13 days and fought to the death in a holding action that ultimately led to Texas' victory at San Jacinto. I remember that each and every man at the Alamo was given leave to run away but volunteered to stay of their own free will, save one who was then able to tell the tale of our glorious stand. I remember the letter Travis wrote as commander of the Alamo:

To the People of Texas & all Americans in the World--
Fellow Citizens and Compatriots--

I am besieged by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna -- I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man -- The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken -- I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls -- I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid with all despatch -- The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country -- Victory or Death.

This is one of the greatest speeches in World History. I defy anyone to say otherwise. It is said like a true Texan.

I also remember Goliad, where the Mexicans showed their true colors:

Meanwhile back in Goliad, Fannin and his remaining force of about 350 were called on to aid William Barrett Travis and the Alamo defenders. Afterwards, he was also ordered by Sam Houston to retreat with back to Victoria. Due to indecision and carelessness by Fannin, however, he failed to accomplish either of these missions.

After a delay of about five days following Houston's order, Fannin finally began his retreat. It was not long, however, before the Texans found themselves surrounded on open prairie. Several attacks by Urrea resulted each time in the Mexicans being repulsed by the deadly fire of the Texans. By dusk, the Texans had lost about sixty men killed or wounded against some 200 of the Mexicans.

Still heavily outnumbered and with no water and few supplies, the Texans waved the white flag of truce the following morning. Believing that they would be taken captive and eventually returned to their homes, the Texans surrendered the morning of March 20. The were escorted back to Goliad as prisoners.

When news of their capture reached Santa Anna, however, he was furious that the Texans had not been executed on the spot. Citing a recently passed law that all foreigners taken under arms would be treated as pirates and executed, Santa Anna sent orders to execute the Goliad prisoners.

Santa Anna's orders were followed. On Palm Sunday, the 27th of March, the prisoners were divided into three groups, marched onto open prairie, and shot. Thus, all of Fannin's command except a few that managed to escape and several physicians and others deemed useful by the Mexicans, were massacred, collected into piles, and burned.

The difference between the cowardly treacherous murderous Mexicans and the heroic Texans who, outnumbered though they were, first stood against them, and then finally overcame them and won Texas her freedom, could not be more clear.

I also remember that Texas was a sparsely populated howling wilderness before Stephen F. Austin came there. The Mexicans, though nominally owning the land, could not settle it because they were too weak to overcome the savage hunter-gatherer Apache and Commanche tribes of Texas. The entire Comanche tribe, meanwhile, only numbered from 30,000-40,000. We introduced civilization to an empty land, fought off the Indian raiders, and built everything we have today up from scratch. There are 25 million people living in Texas today. Every single one of them, aside from a tiny handful of Indian hunter-gatherers who could have maintained their way of life indefinitely if left alone, owes their way of life to these Texas settlers, who built the society capable of supporting such a high carrying capacity. I owe my way of life to them. I may not be descended directly from them, but I could never have been born here, no economic prospects would have been available here, no civilization could have existed here, with which to make my being born here possible, without them. The same is true of the blacks, hispanics, Asians, and anyone else who finds themselves washed up on the shores of Texas today. The feats of the Texas rangers who protected our people from Indians and desperados alike in these early days are legendary. They were worth ten of any other cast of men.

In the Civil War, Texans again distinguished themselves with their valor. General Hood, a Texan leading his brigade of Texans, led the assault on Little Round Top so well shown in the movie Gettysburg. Texas never lost a battle on its home soil, repulsing several attempted Union invasions. The last battle of the Civil War was fought in Texas, after the Confederacy had already surrendered but before either side had heard the news. It was a Confederate victory. Even when Texas loses a war it still wins all its battles.

Texas again proved its valor in World War II, when our James Earl Rudder participated in the invasion of Normandy.

Rudder took part in the D-Day landings as Commanding Officer of the United States Army's 2nd Ranger Battalion. His U.S. Army Rangers stormed the beach at Pointe du Hoc and, under constant enemy fire, scaled 100-foot (30 meter) cliffs to reach and destroy German gun batteries. The battalion's casualty rate for this perilous mission was greater than 50 percent. Rudder himself was wounded twice during the course of the fighting. In spite of this, they dug in and fought off German counter-attacks for two days until relieved. He and his men helped to successfully establish a beachhead for the Allied forces.

Seven months later, Rudder was assigned to command the 109th Infantry Regiment, which saw key service in the Battle of the Bulge. Rudder became one of the most decorated soldiers of the war, with honors that included the Distinguished Service Cross, Legion of Merit, Silver Star, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, French Legion of Honor with Croix de Guerre and Palm, and Order of Leopold (Belgium) with Croix de Guerre and Palm. By the end of the war, he was a full Colonel and was promoted to Brigadier General of the United States Army Reserves in 1954 and Major General in 1957.

Frankly, Texans are the greatest warriors in the world. "Don't Mess With Texas" is our motto for a reason. The Alamo of Texas is only matched by Sparta's stand at the battle of Thermopylae. Before those great stands, the martial valor of all other groups is nothing but cheap cloth.

Today Texas is one of the bright points of the American economy. So many people love it here, that we are slated to gain four or five House seats with the 2010 census. People find jobs in Texas. They find opportunity. They find freedom. They find law and order. (We execute as many criminals as the rest of the country put together, and we're proud of it.) They find good, friendly neighbors. Meanwhile states like New York, California, and other liberal bastions continue to lose population and power because they have utterly destroyed their own economies and opportunities. Like rats leaving a ship, democrats flee their own states to less spoiled lands. But Texas is a dynamo, a magnet, that just gets stronger every day.

Texas is the home of football. Every year our high school recruits go and populate the college teams for the entire nation. Our college teams regularly rank in the top ten of the FBS. The Dallas Cowboys are the most successful franchise in the NFL.

The team's national following might best be represented by its NFL record of consecutive home sell-outs. The Cowboys' streak of 160 sold-out regular and post-season games began in 1990, and included 79 straight sellouts at their former home, Texas Stadium, and 81 straight sell-outs on the road. The franchise holds the record for most Super Bowl appearances (8), corresponding to most NFC championships (8).[3] The Cowboys are the only NFL team to record 20 consecutive winning seasons (1966–1985), in which they only missed the playoffs twice (1974 and 1984), an NFL record that remains unbroken and unchallenged. It remains one of the longest winning streaks in all of professional sports. As of the 2009 season, the Cowboys have the highest winning percentage of any active NFL franchise (.580).[4]

An article from Forbes Magazine, dated September 2, 2009, lists the Cowboys as the highest valued sports franchise in the history of the United States, and second in the world (behind the United Kingdom's Manchester United), with an estimated value of approximately $1.65 billion, above the Washington Redskins ($1.5 billion) and the New England Patriots ($1.361 billion).[5] They are also the wealthiest team in the NFL, generating almost $269 million in annual revenue.[6]

Without Texas, Republicans would never win another election. Our voting has saved the Republic from the endless misery of Democratic misrule.

We have always been a force for good in this country.

Have I mentioned we can fly our flag as high as the star spangled banner? That's right, we're the only state that can, because we're the greatest state in the Union, and we do fly it just as high, because we want everyone to know that. :).

But this Texas, the Texas I know and love, won't last much longer. In a decade or two it will have all washed away. The story of the Alamo will be told from the perspective of the Mexican side, that somehow we were the bad guys and they were in the right. Our history, our heroes, will no longer be Texas' history or Texas' heroes. The Texas State Song will have to be replaced by something more politically correct. The people who live here will no longer feel themselves to be Texans, or feel they owe anything to the Texans who first arrived here. They will no longer know what it is to be a Texan. They will no longer attempt to emulate the virtues of our forefathers. They will no longer care about their sacrifices.

The tribe of 'Texans' is shrinking. It is aging. It isn't long for this Earth. Texas, you see, is majority minority. There aren't many blacks, hispanics, asians or muslims who wish to proclaim their allegiance, their faith, and their love to Texas. They probably want to revile us for our killing of the Indians, the enslavement of blacks, the land-grab from the Mexicans, and all the other anti-white libels they have prepared for all Southern states. They see nothing good about Texas. We don't support union labor. We aren't soft on crime. We don't vote democrat. We produce oil and gas. We drive trucks. We serve in Iraq and Afghanistan. We don't give everyone free health insurance. We're just the worst people on Earth. Worse, we even take pride in ourselves, instead of feeling guilty for all the sins just listed above. So on top of our endless sins, we're incorrigible to boot. The minorities who stand to inherit this Texas from us will never forgive us. They will never forgive our ancestors. They'll topple our Confederate War Memorial at our State Capitol. They'll firebomb the Alamo. They'll call Sam Houston and the rest slavers and villains. They'll destroy everything and leave no trace of the tribe that went by the name "Texans."

Eventually Texas will just be northern Mexico again. The same crime, corruption, and poverty will follow the inevitable march of demographics. As Vicente Fox said: "Wherever there are Mexicans, there is Mexico." This is especially cheering to know now that Mexico has become the murder capital of the world. Texas will vote consistently Democrat, and the Republican party will never win a state election again. I, and whatever children who would follow after me, will no longer be a Texan. I would belong to a new tribe: The Dispossessed.

The Dispossessed are the fastest growing tribe in the world. They are rapidly coming to be in Australia, Canada, England, Russia, France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. They are all the people born with a homeland, who find themselves, when grown-up, without one anymore. They are the people who have nowhere else to go and no-one else to be. They are the last of the Mohicans, only insert whatever tribe you want. They are the last of everywhere they live. They are not numerous enough to control the land of their birth, its institutions, its traditions, its culture, its politics, its religion, anything. They are too few to preserve anything that came before. Everything they were born with, has been stolen away. The inheritance of a few hundred years, or a few thousand, or a few tens of thousands of years, is all equally blotted out. The Dispossessed are the most sorrowful lot, share the most sorrowful fate, on Earth. We are the refugees who can flee nowhere, who no one will take in. Instead we will be reviled and demonized, generation after generation, for our pretended crimes against the new tribes that overtook our lands -- forever. No wreaths will be laid at our graves. No movies, like 300, will recount our glorious deeds. We will just be called names like 'kuffars,' 'gringos,' and 'whitey.'

Our countries are our motherlands. We can't return anywhere else. We aren't like the minorities who come from other lands, who can always go back home if they don't like it here. We didn't choose to come here, knowing we would be a minority. We were born here, thinking we would always be the majority. We didn't ask to be a minority, we didn't choose to be a minority, we opposed becoming a minority every day of our lives. Nevertheless, we are the minority. We won't be treated fairly, like the hispanic or muslim minorities of today. We won't be given affirmative action. We won't be given freedom and opportunity. We won't be given equality and justice for all. Our experience as a minority has been vastly different from their experience as a minority. Just ask the Greeks of Turkey. Just ask the 3,000 South African farmers murdered since the end of Apartheid. Just ask the Swedish and Norwegian girls raped by their diverse, vibrant, enriching Muslim neighbors. Just ask the underage British girls raped and pimped by their diverse, vibrant, enriching Muslim neighbors. We are the Dispossessed. We aren't like any other minority. We're a conquered minority. We are a helpless minority. We are a defeated minority.

The Normans who conquered England were a minority. The Manchus who conquered China were a minority. Not all minorities are equal.

Minorities who give away their countries, have no foreign support because they have no relatives anywhere, and are hated and despised by the majority, are more Dispossessed than minorities who have foreign relatives, powerful allies, are the ruling class, have a homeland to retreat to, and/or are not mistreated but even pampered by the majority. The fate of white minorities is far sadder than the fate of minorities living in white countries. The Dispossessed will have the saddest fate of all. We get to watch the most beautiful, advanced, wonderful civilization on Earth be replaced by backwards barbarians who seem to have just crawled out of the stone age. We get to be replaced by female genital mutilators, head decapitators, illiterates, philanderers, bastards, idiots, and criminals. We get to be replaced by our worst nightmares.

We aren't like other conquered minorities.

It used to be that conquered tribes at least had the benefit of being conquered by someone stronger and better than themselves. If you were conquered by the Romans, pretty soon you were getting roads, sewers, baths, glass, peace, commerce, and all the other trappings of Rome. Today that's all gone. The Dispossessed are clearly more advanced than our dis-possessors. We have nothing to look forward to under their rule. Nothing good will be introduced by them. They have nothing to teach us. They have nothing to contribute. They are a swarm of nothings. No nobel prizes. No fields medals. No accomplishments of any kind. The only skill they ever mastered, the only skill they needed to master, in order to conquer us, was how to have sex without birth control. We are the Dispossessed. They are walking zeroes. Between us, the whole world will become one meaningless nothing. Our dispossession is a little more bitter than those who fought bravely and lost to a more accomplished and advanced foe. We are as ashamed of our enemies as we're ashamed of ourselves. We have no honor for losing to them, they have no honor in beating us.

Soon our tribe will number in the hundreds of millions. We will speak different languages, practice different faiths, revere different heroes, and sing different songs. But we will all have the same bewildered, frightened faces of the hare pursued by the owl, of the deer racing from the howling wolf pack. We will all have the same slumped shoulders, the same tired eyes. We will recognize each other immediately, like long lost twins. "Oh, so you too?" Our pitying looks will convey. And the answer will be, "Yes, us too." All of us have nowhere to go, nothing to offer our children, and no power over our lives. We're all one now. One interchangeable mass of doomed brethren, awaiting the final death -- awaiting extinction. We won't be Texans, or Russians, or Spaniards anymore, and when our children's children's children give up because life is too hard to have any further generations of children, we won't even be anymore.

The primary cause of species extinction is habitat destruction. Biology 101.

We have a right to oppose this fate. We have a right to be unhappy about this future. We have a right to protect ourselves against it. We have a right to life.

The Dispossessed have a right to be Texans. They have a right to be Spanish. They have a right to be Australians.

We have a right to be us. No one else can be us.

We have a right to preserve our people and a future for our children.

We have a right to preserve our majority in our historical homelands.

In order to do so, we have a right to discriminate against members of foreign racial or ethnic groups that would, if left unchecked, take all these rights from us. It is moral to do what it takes, and no more, to protect already established moral rights, moral ends. Therefore, it is at least moral to discriminate, as much as it takes, and no more, to preserve the possession of our historic homelands.

Therefore, racism, nativism, xenophobia, chauvinism, nationalism, patriotism, collectivism, or whatever else you want to call it, is also moral, just, and fair.

We don't ask for the right to discriminate. It is given to us by Nature and Nature's God. It is given to us by the tears of our children and the blood of our fathers. You cannot take it away.
